Description: Tropeiro is a Brazilian steak house based on the 'Rodizio' concept which translates to English as 'continuous service'.In Brazil we take the simplest idea of combining wonderfully seasoned meat and flames, with skill and patience in order to capture their individual flavour. These mouthwatering meats are cooked on an open fire and carved at your table-side. Our menu offers twelve different cuts of meat (five at lunch) including a mixture of chicken, pork, lamb and different beef cuts served alongside a generous buffet of gourmet salads, side dishes and Brazilian stews.

Never having tried Brazilian and it being the World Cup I thought I'd give it a go.

It's pretty good. On my visit the salad bar was well stocked. A lady constantly topped up all the bar. I noted other reviewers comments about things running out....it looks like the restaurant took note.

Taste and quality of the meats could not really be faulted. This style of cooking meat is salty so be warned you might exceed your daily allowance! Seriously it might be too much for some.
Some of the beef dishes were really excellent and I'd pass on some of the cheaper cuts of chicken and sausage.

Service was good. Quite attentive and friendly.

Value was good for Aberdeen. I liked the quality and the fact you can eat as much as you want at your own pace. Good if you were taking a group out it fixes your outlay on the food at least. Drinks were not out of line either.

I'd eat here again maybe now and again. It's good for a change and especially if you are hungry for meat.

They have announced today that they are closing their Aberdeen branch for strategical reasons.
Not sure on the real reason but maybe in the wrong location or rent/rates too much.

Lovely building, spacious restaurant. A bit eerily empty for Fathers day lunch tho... Id imagine the atmosphere is different in the evening when its darker and probably busier. Lots of choice at salad bar/hot food buffet from chilli to veggie couscous so veggies needn't be put off unless the sight of meat offends! Plentiful offerings of various meat brought to the table - the lamb and the sausages being a favourite with us - kids included. A change from the norm, enjoyable experience and nice food. Great value for money - kids ate free and ate well. Kiddie friendly and overall a lovely meal with plenty of options and food on offer - you won't leave feeling hungry!
(one minus - the door to the meat cooking area was open so you could see the meat being grilled - didn't look very nice, a bit messy and it took the shine off the lovely food being brought to the table somehow! when you saw the unattended meat in what resembled an assembly line with stuff cooking and stuff on platters, cling filmed for cooking later....id keep that door closed..)

Was there end last year and thought it was great. Love this sort of restaurant and the way they come round with the meat which you can choose to select or wait on the next. It's good for a guys/girls night out or a nice romantic meal out.
