Cold and mediocre, interior furnishing and decoration very down at heel. Staff could not be ruder if they tried.

We like it because it’s not part of a massive chain and it is generally very quiet on Sunday late evening.

Alas the basement cafe bar is now closed, but drinks and snacks are available from the upstairs kiosk to take into the cinema. The cafe bar area is now a meeting space. The Belmont shows a selection of mainstream and art films and is still my favourite cinema in Aberdeen. If you visit the Belmont frequently, it's worth considering membership to take advantage of discounted tickets.

I like Belmont Filmhouse. As well being able to see a good selection of films from all over the world and National Theatre Live broadcasts, it is a great place to drop in for a coffee or a meal. I eat there about once a week. Food in the cafe bar is very good and there are options for vegetarians and vegans. Membership is a great deal even if you don't go very often. There are discounts for members on tickets and food. And they have Wifi. Highly recommended and right in the centre of town

A favourite place as it's quiet, comfortable and casual...suitable for taking my parents to see a film that attracts us all, or for them to go on their own & I know they will be well looked after. Great little cafe bar so we can enjoy a civilised glass of wine before and take one into the cinema too. The best experience for me has been the National Theatre Live showing of 'Of Mice and Men' it was hugely emotional and so like an actual live performance.
