Food was absolutely delicious! Cajun chicken burgers were epic - perfectly cooked topped with bacon and cheese, chips were tasty and salad very fresh. Sticky toffee pudding absolutely to die for. Young waitress was provided excellent customer service with a smile! All in all a fantastic meal will definitely be back.

Even after submitting a phone menu order 2 days before the visit there was a wait of at least 45 minutes before our food arrived . When the main course was over ( cannot complain about the food) we waited for out pre ordered desserts to find that they had been served to another group. We received little information about the mistake other than from the two young waitresses who did their best. We received a discount on the meal and a voucher which we were grateful for . However given that this was to be a double birthday tea and we left without desserts and it was our first visit I'm not sure we would rush back I'm sorry to say.

Visited Calum's kitchen at the Black Abbott for the first time last night, after all the great reviews it had been getting tht we cldnt go wrong...
Well how wrong we were, it was the worst meal we had had in a long time...
Five of us visited, 2 had kormas which were very nice, 3 of us had chicken Goujons how can they possible go wrong with this order, well they succeeded, 3 small pieces of chicken that was meant to be battered, God knows what happened to the batter it must have been floating in the pan because it certainly wasn't on the chicken, veg that had been cooking in the pot from the day before it was so soft, and rotten salad on the other 2..must say the chips wernt too bad...best thing on the plate was the sweet chilli dip...
We shld have known better at this point not to order sweets but who can resist a Tablet and sticky toffee sundae...well it's the first sundae we've ever had with no ice cream it had small pieces of sticky toffee pudding floating in toffee sauce and a smidgen of whipped cream on top from a tin.. £75 later what a dissapointment this was...
Never again...don't waste ur money...
