Enchanting little tea room. Good, tasty cakes. Fresh coffee. Little gem on a dreary cold day. Thoroughly recommend.

This was our first visit to this tucked away tea room. The owner was friendly and welcoming and the decor was quirky and interesting. Amazing Victoria sponge and a large cafetière to share was a nice change and we loved the bone china crockery.

I visited Mum's of Montrose a few weeks ago with a friend. Breakfast was cooked to order, with every preference taken into account. The portions were hearty and we were offered extras and top ups.

The owner of the cafe was lovely and engaging. The atmosphere is what you make of it, the cafe itself has a homely feel.

If there was a something to pick on, is that I usually prefer skimmed milk, so the cup of tea wasn't to my liking. But the owner did mention that if you have any requirements that she will happily accommodate if you let her know in advance.

Overall, a very good experience.

Visited the other day only 2 people in the cafe should have read the warning signs. Ordered 3 latte coffees as advertised on the menu. Only to be served with a large pot of coffee and cold milk and 3 small China cups. Being polite gave the benefit but the coffee was vile and also the shop bought biscuit. During the visit the owner managed to rip up some councilors from Montrose a hairdresser who was involved in the flowers for Montrose committee and another man who didn't like pansy flowers. Really not want you want to hear when having coffee and the owner should be more aware you never know who might be in your shop. When challenged about the latte coffee her reply I only have a small machine I would be there all day making it and as explained to her this was never explained to us and shouldn't not be on your menu if you can't cope with the demand. Safe to say we will not return even though we didn't have to pay .

I am so glad that trip advisor alert small business owners that vile reports are placed on line.

I serve excellent coffee, italian bend, a gorgeous smooth coffee that is served in china crockery.

The atmosphere is a general reflection of those in the tea room and thankfully, usually, pleasant.

The individuals, leaving this current comment, on reflection, had no intention of purchasing the order, they possibly just wanted to use my facilities, which they did, they drank their coffee and took the biscuit, literally...
