Arriving in Hawick on Saturday afternoon without a dinner reservation left us unable to eat at either of the two restaurants that had been recommended by our B&B host. As we walked along the High Street we passed this place and thought Chinese would be a nice alternative. We were not disappointed. The hot and sour soup was warming and chock full of bits of roast pork and prawns. The honey glazed ribs were perfectly cooked...the meat just fell off the bones. We had the chef's special Chinese dumplings ... a generous portion and they were delicious, as was the sizzling giant prawns in garlic and green onion. A pint of crisp cider was the perfect accompaniment. In short, we were very pleased with our visit and happily recommend this restaurant.

Very good tasty food and would have been excellent if the plates had been hot. The staff friendly and welcoming and prices very average.

Have only been for a takeway a couple of times since we moved to Hawick.Really enjoyed the King Po King Prawn, Singapore Noodles and King Prawn chow mein (not full of green peppers and carrotts!).Char Sui Ok. Run by a young family from China who are very nice as are the local staff.Good service and reasonable price.Don't be put off by the tired decor.

Went on spec whilst enjoying weekend break at nearby caravan park. Had read positive reviews online. On arrival 3 of the 5 available tables were occupied. The staff were very young but friendly, polite and efficient.
We ordered a set menu for 2 people - a platter of appetisers, duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Nothing out of the ordinary just good, tasty Chinese fayre. At first the portions seemed a bit 'wee' but there turned out to be plenty for 2 and with a bill of just over £30 including 2 rounds of drinks we left more than happy.
Just to note that whilst we ate there was a non stop procession of people collecting takeaway meals as well as deliveries being sent out.

What a surprise! Whilst we only visited the restaurant on a whim, we were pleasantly surprised, the decor is not great, but the food and service is really good. The crispy chilli beef was excellent! The food was really reasonably priced, a cheap family dinner. The food is really good. Recommend
