This was my family's first visit to this Hotel as it was strongly recommended to us .We certainly were not disappointed . The food was so fresh and cooked to order . To receive this standard of cuisine from a small 'country' hotel was just amazing and one thing is for sure .....'You will NEVER leave this place feeling hungry'.
Portions were just Mountainous !

8 of us ate here on Thursday night, we had the Christmas menu, lovely choices. I think between us we tried all the starters, all lovely, we all had the traditional turkey with the trimmings, a lovely touch was the extra gravy. The others all had pudding which were all lovely and I had local cheese which was great, homemade mince pies (flaky pastry as well) completed the evening. The service was very personal which was appreciated. Food is served Thursday though Sunday and definitely worth a visit.

Four of us had a superb lunch with great service. We all had different dishes and could find no fault with any of them. I had macaroni which is probably the best I’ve had in a pub/hotel, the other half had the venison burger which he said was delicious. The fish and the curry looked great, the curry being too generous a portion. Our food was served quickly, was lovely and hot and the presentation was great. We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel for a visit and we will certainly be back.

Visited here for lunch one sunday afternoon as we quite fancied a good sunday roast and that's what we had.
Nice portion of beef, home made yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings, can't fault it in any way, starters were good but we skipped puddings as no more room was available in our stomachs.
Would return here without a problem

Stayed here for one night for work. It's definately one of them types of pubs if you were to get snowed in at, you wouldn't regret it. The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly. Pool table, sky sports, couldn't ask for much more. If anything the rooms could of done with been spruced up a little but can't complain otherwise
