Decided to have a 2 night stopover on our return home from the Outer Hebrides and Dumfries seemed to be almost halfway home. None of us had been there before so it was a new destination. We had a very enjoyable day pottering around and looking at the Robert Burns museums and mausoleum.
The hotel was quite large with a splendid leisure club. Our room was comfortable and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast package which was a very reasonable price and the evening meals were excellent.
Plenty of space to relax and a special thanks to Angels for arranging for a lovely bacon roll at breakfast.
More than happy to stay here again next time we visit the area.More
