I only stayed one night but I was very impressed with with my room and the facilities which were available to me. I was also delighted with the complimentary items which were available for me. It was an ideal location right in the heart of the town. The full English Breakfast was lovely and very generous content. Jane was very friendly too.

Room tip: Quiet floors

Great welcome, helpful staff, organised, very clean. Covid secure as could be. We had room 10 which was very spacious, sofa, TV fresh milk kettle tea coffee etc, plus bathrobes and plenty of clean fluffy towels, heated towel rail. Cupboard for luggage. Fabulous food for our evening meal, also vegan and gluten free options. The breakfast was amazing, the best omelette in my life! Good bar, no gf beer but plenty of other drinks. Would stay again on our way up to Scotland.

This restaurant provides standard pub fair such as haddock and chips, which is tasty and reasonably priced. The waitress was friendly and helpful. It was s good place to stop off for lunch. There are full covid precautions in place without making people feel uncomfortable.

Both nights we experienced a high standard of cleanliness in our room and with small touches of water x 2 and bottles x2 of coke in the fridge. The bathroom came complete with 2 full sets of towels in 4 sizes and two bath robes. The hospitality tray was well stocked and the milk was kept cool in the fridge. A surprised wife loved the teapot as she enjoys her second cup first thing in the morning.
To have a seating area with lots of room in a double room is very welcomed to view the large television.
Due to Covid meals were staggered and of a high standard with the full breakfast included in the price of the room. Evening meals are available with a nice varied selection and again are of a high standard with large portions to satisfy anyone’s appetite.
The staff including the manageress during the day and the lady at breakfast do a fantastic job to ensure you are well looked after. Bearing in mind that we are having to change our habits due to Covid all areas were sanitised as soon they were vacated at meal times that we managed to observe. This helped us to be comfortable returning for our second night knowing that we would be well looked after.
We are now keen to return to this lovely hotel and enjoy the free WiFi, car parking and beer garden. Hopefullly to stay longer next time and have a chance to try the wide range of gins and whisky specials. Thanks again for a short but great two nights with you..
