It’s first external appearance when coming off the magnificent Tay bridge is actually quite ugly- a long sprawling unattractive building with a large Apex sign on the roof. But... once inside what a difference. Apparently just completely renovated, it’s a large very contemporary hotel. Our 2nd floor room overlooked the Tay bridge and city and with the opening window shut was completely silent. The new V&A museum and all the development along the waterfront were in the terrific views.
The large bed was very comfy especially the pillows about which this reviewer is normally extremely fussy.
The decent sized bathroom had aseparate bath and shower but our standard room lacked a shaving/makeup mirror. Small detail.
Time prevented us from sampling the restaurant food but coffee was good.
The spa gym and pool are excellent and the 11 meter pool ideal for proper swimming! The lockers are well designed too!
So, a long review because this hotel is great and we paid only £86 a night! Today I see the price is £69. More
