Had no intention to write a review, until a personal email request from the hotel to write one!!
Would review as follows
1. Great hotel on quiet road within 10 mins walking distance of Princes Street
2. Great room, spacious and with good facilities. Very clean
3. Good restaurant, with excellent freshly cooked breakfasts.
4 However, room service a bit hit and miss. As with a previous reviewer, no replacement of tea bags and milks( three night stay) Chocolates on one night on pillow. Asked for fresh milk, but only small jug provided.

Our favourite hotel group group, Shire, places a small carton of fresh milk in the fridge every day for fresh tea or coffee. perhaps bonham should consider.

However, overall we had a great stay

Room Tip: Room 201 was good

Got there for my birthday treat, upgraded to junior suit and the room was absolutely amazing, the view over looking the sea and the city.

Only 5-9 min to princess street (depending on your pace)

You can tell it’s a really great and quite area.

Easy for parking either using Taxi, uber or renting.

The room cleanliness was Superb.

Really enjoyed our stay

Thanks guys for the great hosbitality

My husband and I stayed at the Bonham towards the end of October for 2 nights. I booked a 2 night package, including breakfast and also dinner on the first night. It was wonderful from start to finish. Beautiful premises (3 converted Georgian terraces), immaculately clean with so much charm and character. Dinner was excellent, gourmet fayre made with local ingredients. The location is spot on - we usually stay in the old town but this was way better. The area is only a short walk away and is so peaceful. Breakfast was also lovely. I can’t recommend it highly enough, I’m sure we will return soon. Thank you for a great stay!

The Bonham hotel is within walking distance of Edinburgh city centre and popular with tourists.
The building is old style and beautiful.
The room I had was large enough and despite being a basement room it was light, bright and cosy. The bathroom was large with a shower over the bath, modern and powerful.
The towels were fluffy and white and the room very clean.
The bed however, was rock hard and I found it very difficult to sleep at all.
Staff were friendly during the day but the night porter a little grumpy.
Breakfast is generous but for much less money you could eat out in the city centre at a health cafe or fry up for much less.
Would I stay again? Probably not as there is so much choice in Edinburgh at the same level but with more comfortable beds.
