This is hardest review i have ever had to write.

The place is quite simply outstanding

I have been privileged to stay in some very nice hotels through the world, this is by far my favourite. The history of the house the charm and opulence of the rooms is simply overwhelming as there is so much to take in.
The staff are impeccable and there knowledge of the history of the place impressive. Food of the highest standard and the whisky selection top class.

So why so hard to write ? i simply don’t want everyone to know about it. So i can always get a room when i want.

Gorgeous surroundings and opulent decor. Highly carved ornate ceilings and elegant nibbles. The freshly squeezed orange juice was requisite. The French rose equally fragrant, light & dry.
Thank you to Johnathon for his knowledge of the building, and Stephen for his attentiveness and kindness

We got Married at Prestonfiled on Hogmanay, the hotel gave us the complete package of accommodation, food and private rooms for the event.
The service is outstanding, the staff treat you like a friend and can't do enough to make your time at the hotel magical.
The hotel it self is fabulously opulent, it is dripping in class and stunning design detail. the rooms are very comfortable and spotless.
Sitting just off the main tourist trap, you really can lose yourself in complete relaxation... or jump a taxi, or walk the mile and a half, to the royal mile to immerse yourself in the Edinburgh atmosphere.
Our Wedding was flawless, the events team really did make it a stress free day, these folks know what they are doing and do it so well.

Glasgow once had the slogan "Scotland, with style" Prestonfield really is Scotland, with style.

We previously stayed at Prestonfield on a couple of occasions and decided we would love to celebrate our wedding there on the 30th December 2017. From start to finish we could not fault the service we received from the staff, from our initial meeting with the Events Team to our post wedding breakfast. The whole place was beautifully decorated, in particular the Italian Room where our ceremony was held, and also the Tapestry Room which was just stunning. The food and ambience at Rhubarb was excellent, and provided sufficient privacy from the other hotel guests. Our day ran very smoothly , the staff were excellent , and we would not hesitate in planning a future visit.

Restaurant is just perfect. Must see place. Must try cousin. Hidden from mass tourists paths. Great friendly service. Will come again and again and again. Great for friends meeting and romantic dates (you can rent a room for about 240 euro per night )
