We booked the Norton to celebrate our Mother's 80th birthday, and it was absolute perfection! From the booking process itself (personal, friendly, efficient - thank you Tori) to the execution of the meal, it was a first class experience all round. We had a private room booked for dinner (the Drawing Room), as well as separate drinks & canapes (in the Redwood Room). The Drawing Room itself looked stunning, beautifully dressed and had a large dining table accommodating all 16 of us. The food presentation was excellent, and all courses/dishes were packed with flavour. Service was fantastic, all evening long. Particular thank you to Cameron who looked after us all night. Thank you all for making this special day so much more memorable for everyone.

My review is for the Norton House Spa / Leisure Club as I have not stayed at the hotel. Having been a member for 2 years. I can honestly say the staff are always lovely and will do anything to help. I’ve had several treatments which were lovely. Occasionally I’ve been the only one in the pool which is Bliss. A lovely spa , great staff in a gorgeous location.

We stayed for one night in a duplex junior suite room ( 2 adults and two teenagers) . There was plenty of room in this suite which had a living room upstairs with a sofa bed and also a bathroom with a huge walk in shower upstairs, and downstairs had a large king size bed and another bathroom which had a bath and a separate shower. The room also had a small balcony.
The room was very clean and very well equipped with a fridge on each floor and also an espresso machine and a kettle.
We were staying here to attend a concert at Murrayfield and that was about 20 mins drive away . The hotel was also very close about 5 mins drive) to Edinburgh Airport which was very handy for very early morning flights.
We had a walk around the hotel grounds and they are lovely, very well kept and with a swing in one of the trees and various points of interest dotted around.
All staff that we spoke to were very friendly and professional at all times. Service was a bit slow at times at breakfast but they were busy.
We ate lunch twice in the restaurant and all food was lovely. We also used the swimming pool and that was very clean and well maintained.
This was a lovely overnight stay and we wished we could have had more time in the hotel but due to attending the concert, flights etc our time was limited. We would return to this hotel and hopefully spend more time there.
