“Fabulous apartment, loved our stay here.”
Reviewed June 20, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter and loved it. Good location, walk to shops, sights and restaurants. Owner was very helpful and obliging. It was clean, had everything we needed and some lovely personal touches. I can't wait to go back to Edinburgh and book in here for a longer stay!

“Great Location”
Reviewed June 11, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Stayed here as I was taking part in the Edinburgh Moonwalk. This flat was only 1 mile from Inverleith Park so excellent location for us, plus I believe pretty close to centre of town. it was a small but perfectly formed little flat and I loved the little garden we had out the back. Felt like we were in a tropical garden which was great.

The owner left milk, bread and butter in the fridge which is always appreciated and a nice bowl of chocolates in the living room.

There is a nice bar at the end of the street called The Cumberland Bar which had a nice selection of real ales and is very close proximity to Broughton Street which has lots of nice bars and restaurants on it.

All in all would totally reccomend this place!

“Everything you need and more, in perfect location”
Reviewed May 14, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

New Town Apartment was truly excellent. It was easy to book and pay for. The description is accurate but the reality is much better. We were made to feel very welcome in this chic apartment, which provided everything we could ever need and was extremely comfortable. The outside space was beautiful, and we looked forward to getting back after our planned activities each day. The location is perfect - the city is within easy walking distance, and there is also the attractions of Stockbridge nearby. Sylvie could not have been more helpful, and her contact was very reassuring. We would highly recommend this New Town Apartment - we hope to visit it again.

“Lovely, comfortable "home from home"”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A lovely comfortable and remarkably quiet apartment. Handy for Stockbridge with it's many restaurants and bars. Sylvite and Jaime kept in touch with us before and during the weekend which is always reassuring. Thanks for the groceries and chocolates truly appreciated. It's just a pity it was still a bit cold to take advantage of the pretty garden.

“Lovely, homely flat”
Reviewed January 9, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Very comfortable central flat. Nicely decorated with all home comforts provided. No central heating but fire in living area and heater in hall kept the flat warm and cosy. Owner very kindly provided tea, milk etc for our arrival. Highly recommend this flat to others.

“Could not have been better!!!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our recent stay at this wonderful apartment on Cumberland Street in Edinburgh. It's a stone's throw from the famous Cumberland Bar which is a wonderful pub with excellent food. Sarah, Alex and the rest of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Within several blocks are excellent restaurants including The French Press which we highly recommend for breakfast and The Spice Pavilion and Indian food at its best.

The apartment is clean and well appointed and is below street level. We could hear street noise but it was infrequent and not a bother. The washing machine came in handy as British Airways lost our luggage. Do NOT give BA your luggage!

Communication with the owner could have been a bit better, we had confusion on the address 23B South East Cumberland Street Lane rather than 23B Cumberland Street, but our taxi driver was great in finding our apartment. There was also limited communication via email as the leasing agent has infrequent access to email. But it all worked out and this should not be seen as a negative. Just worth mentioning. Also, if you're taller than 6'3" the shower will be too small for you.

We highly recommend this location and can share that yes, there is a bit of a hill to climb to get to George and Princes Streets. But that's only to get there which makes the return walk home after a long day of touring a welcome site!
