Apartment on outskirts of Edinburgh (40 mins walk if you feel up to it). Good bus service round the corner. Apartment clean and comfortable but could do with a bit of a spruce up. Carpet a bit grubby and I noticed to plastic bottles under the bed in the ensuite bedroom. Tumble dryer didn't appear to be working although not a major problem just unfortunate for us as we got soaked on the Friday. Kitchen very well equipped. Plenty of shops nearby for essentials.

Graham was very professional the flat was modern and clean. The only thing I would mention is that there is a carpet bar in bedroom that needs screwed down as I nearly cut my foot on it with it sticking up from the carpet.
11th-15th August, for the tattoo and the Fringe, 2,50+ married couples.
On arrival at the appt we were pleasantly surprised to find not only the cupboards well stocked with various groceries, but the fridge freezer was also well stocked, upon speaking to Grah am,the owner he told us that he does his best to try and keep the cupboards stocked with the basics, but as far as the freezer was concerned, that was probably down to his previous clients.
There was also every kind of kitchen utensil imaginable even down to a soda stream.
The rooms were spotlessly clean as we're all towels and bedding, my only slight complaint is that the carpets and mats, although clean, are looking a little tired.
There are plenty of shops and pubs close to the appt, and also the royal yacht brittania and the ocean terminal shopping centre only a short distance away.
Although we never met the owner ( Graham) I spoke on the phone with him on a couple of occasions and he seamed a really nice chap, both approachable and informative regarding local eateries buses etc,all in all a great week at a very reasonable cost.
Finally, for those that have never been, the tattoo is a fantastic spectacle, never to be forgotten and the city itself throughout the month of August is awash with every type of entertainment under the sun, street performers on every corner, live entertainment on in almost every pub and club, allot of which is free to watch and to top it all of you have the fantastic architecture , museums, galleries and of course the history of a beautiful city.
