Just back from staying a weekend here with my boyfriend.
The hotel was less than 2 minutes from the train station which was very handy.

The hotel was very clean and everything was brand new. The room was spacious and had the most comfiest bed I have slept in!! Bathroom and shower were very clean and modern.

The pool & sauna were good, not busy so was easy to relax.

The food in the hotel was expensive ( £9.50 - £20) and drinks were overpriced (£6 for a glass of wine). However the hotel is across the road from a tesco which was really handy especially if u have children or on a long stay .

This hotel is 6 mins on the train to the castle and costs £2. 90 return. I preferred not stayin in the centre of Edinburgh as te hotel was very peaceful and not too busy. Brilliant for couples or people wanting relaxing weekends away.

All in all a brilliant hotel !

Nice clean and comfortable hotel with good facilities including pool, steam room and gym.

Rooms are very nice and are a good size.

Showers and bathrooms also very nice.

Breakfast is full english buffet style with good variety but a bit pricey at £13 each

Location is on the side of the bypass which is good for overnight stay and is only 5/10 minute drive to highland centre and airport.

Too far out of city centre if looking for a city break and there is nothing within walking distance.

Overall a nice hotel and we only paid £60 for B&B for 2 people

Double room, Sat night, only £65. Absolute bargain considering the pool/gym facilities, large room with sofa plus bed (amazing sleep, very quiet) and bar/restaurant serving 24 hr drinks and fairly good food.

Train station 5 minutes walk away (2 stops/5 mins into the centre of Edinburgh). Taxi into town took around 10 minutes and cost £13.

Very helpful staff plus free parking.

Ideal location for airport also.

Booked a few weeks ahead and got a great rate. Although out of the centre, the hotel is conveniently located next to Edinburgh Park Station with frequent trains into the city taking 10 minutes as well as the Motorway/Ring Road.
Hotel is clean and modern, staff courteous and helpful. Rooms well equipped, 4* but without the price (maybe due to location). Pool and gym very clean. Only downside is the price of food/drink. Also on the Saturday night, there was a function with music playing till 12:15am so maybe avoid a room on the lower floors at the front. That aside good value and wood stay again.

Room Tip: Choose one away from function rooms and facing the front to avoid noise from the railway.

Excellent value for money - booked 3 day advance purchase. Kids loved pool, warm & towels provided.. Room got very hot with 4 people in it, but got air flow working after some time - not air conditioning, and became bearable. Good sized room and well equipped. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Other comments spoke of noise from railway - we were close to it and it did not disturb us. Easy access to By-pass, Didn't eat in hotel but menu looked reasonable, however though breakfast was pricey. Tesco Extra very close by.

The Novotel Edinburgh Park is set at the edge of a large business park close to the motorway. We stayed here overnight at the start of January before a flight from Edinburgh Airport which is about 10 minutes drive away, after booking a bargain deal on a last minute rooms website.
Our room was a reasonable size, if a bit small and with a nice, spotless bathroom. We stayed during the high winds and the glazing didn’t let in any draughts, and only a little noise – understandable because the building is quite exposed.
The swimming pool was a great bonus. It wasn’t the largest but was quiet and a good temperature. The changing rooms are quite small too but I’m guessing they wouldn’t have too many people using it at once.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant/bar area – being the 2nd January, it was fairly quiet and only the bar menu was available, rather than the full restaurant selection. However the food tasted great and the restaurant itself was stylish.
