lovely experience in this quaint pretty little place . lovely location , staff were a delight and weather was glorious to enjoy the location .

had a lovely meal although had not booked but staff were able to fit us in at short notice

Booked a table for 3 as a birthday treat for my friend. When we arrived it took nearly 20 minutes for the menu to arrive. My friend, a vegetarian asked for a veggie version. When it arrived the veggie option was among the meat option and the fruit was on the paté. The bread was stale and the cakes dry. Said something to the duty manager who refunded my friends meal, but I was made to feel very awkward. The waiter was very polite and accommodating so no fault on his part. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

The LCD tv now looks dated and was very dark (no ability to adjust), the room was fine except the bathroom was a little tired and could do with a make over, not sure about the black Mold and the detached bath plug.Fine if you get a sea view but we overlooked the kitchen and was a little noisy at times. What made me only give the hotel 3 (Average) was breakfast, having sat down the confusion between staff over what was available from the buffet and order was amazing. A new member of staff was clearly struggling but the supervisor - wasn’t doing her job and only confused us all. I really do believe that Premier Inn does a better job and Scores should go back to basics and remember that their customers are who pay the money they need to continue.

Given room 101 which looks onto a wall, loo did not work and room not properly cleaned. Total rip off. And apparently this has been the case for years of this hotel in a wonderful location

We would love to give everyone a room with a view of the West Sands but architecture doesn't allow this. Our sea view rooms are available for a surcharge and it is best to book directly with the hotel to ascertain if a sea view room is available.

Our sincere apologies that your stay did not meet your expectations.

This hotel is in a prime location in St Andrews. 3*’s it is, and frankly it could perhaps merit 4!

Staff were friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast was a buffet, with additional options available. These however took some time. We actually felt that the two waitresses (sorry, one old and one young), struggled to keep up. The young girl was run off her feet, and by the end of breakfast was beginning to break out in a sweat. The older lady, who was delightful, should perhaps be offered lighted duties, and allow the younger generation to take the load. I understand this may be hurtful, but it is meant as a genuine review. The duty manager was very helpful, and his addition (on our second morning) made all the difference to table service.

We had a suite, which was frankly very nice. A large room, which even had a wee kitchen. Shame though, that there is little or no view. Minus point - No Safe in the room. Yes there is an option of locking valuables in the office safe, but that is inconvenient. It would not cost the hotel much to upgrade this, as I am sure travellers would appreciate the added security.

All in all really quite good, as the other hotels in the area are frankly more expensive.

A couple of tweaks and this hotel could be very good.

Many thanks for your positive review. Constructive comments are how we improve our service and we have taken note of your thoughts regarding breakfast. If you return, and we hope you do, please contact me directly and we will try to accommodate you with a sea view room, they are obviously highly sought after but we will do our very best, though I must say I like our Seaton Suite rooms, they are large, comfortable rooms and if guests are staying for a longer period the kitchens can come in very handy.
We will consider the installation of room safes although it is not in the immediate plans.
