Whenever we visit family in Scotland, we make sure to spend at least a couple of days and nights in the West End. Loads to do and see, with high-end restaurants, bars and shops everywhere. No matter what type of food you like, what you're interested in, or whether you like the action of the night life or the quiet of museums and gardens, there is a place just for you! Very active creative and artistic community, with films, theater and music to enjoy. You really can't beat the West End if you are looking for the best Glasgow has to offer. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The West End is by far the best area of Glasgow to be based in, without a doubt. We love the feel of the place, and of course all the classy bars and restaurants.

The West End is absolutely full of a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, history, and wide open spaces. There is lots to do and see and there is always a buzz about the area. The Botanic Gardens are a nice place to chill out, walk or have a picnic. Eateries vary from cafes to 5 star restaurants with a very wide variety of types of cuisine. There are lots of festivals in this area throughout the year so it is worth checking webistes about what's on in Glasgow so you can get along to one. Some quality places to stay in the area and it is well served by the Glasgow Underground and buses. An interesting place for people of all ages to visit.
