Been to this hotel many times. In an excellent location with fabby views over the river. Staff were friendly and acted on any concerns we had. The hotel is undergoing building work at the moment but this did not interrupt our stay. I feel the cleanliness is not as good as it was and very surface clean only.

Stayed here for the Kevin Bridges show at the Hydro. Arrived too early for check-in but receptionist lacked in customer service manners as there was no welcome she didn't even say she would check to see if room ready (all the other hotels manage to do this). So we decided we would go to the bar only for her to say it doesn't open until 5. She never gave us guidance on what was in the area that would be open so we took a walk over to the Clydebuilt restaurant in the SECC.

We were shocked to see that there is a £4 charge a night for parking which is normally free. Also the hotel is surrounded by scaffolding as it is getting extended.

The room was clean but doesn't have a safe to keep valuables in. The view was Bonnie looking over the Clyde and across to the SECC and Hydro.

We took the meal deal which gives you a 2 course meal with a drink at dinner and an unlimited breakfast the following morning. The meal was nice in the evening but was disappointed at breakfast as the cooked items were stone cold (they had been out for 15 mins, breakfast starts at 6.30 and we were down at 6.45).

The service we got while checking out could have been better as we got no information about how to pay for parking until we prompted the Receptionist.

This hotel certainly wouldn't be my first choice.

My husband and I stayed here on 11/10 as we were going to see Kevin briges at the hydro. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff friendly and food good. There was building work goi g on whilst we were there, but it’s not an inconvenience. We would book again when we are next at the hydro as it’s very convinient.

Staying here for Kevin Bridges show at hydro. Stayed here several times as location ideal for hydro shows as only minutes away and reasonably priced. Arrived to find scaffolding up us extending hotel. Noticed you now have to pay for parking, £4 for 24 hour stay. Used to be free if staying at Premier Inn. Checked in at 3pm and as a terrible day thought we could have a couple of drinks in the bar before our meal. Was informed that bar not open until 5pm and told that Village hotel bar across road would be open. Feel that the Premier Inn was missing a good money maker here as Village bar very busy.
Room basic but adequate for our needs. Clean and nice view onto river.
Opted for special deal on menu £24.99 for 2 courses, drink and breakfast next day. Starters arrived quickly but main course took a long time to arrive and had to remind staff we were still waiting. When bill arrived checked it over and noticed we had been overcharged for 2 extra alcoholic drinks. Pointed this out to waitress who replied “how else am I expected to make extra money” absolutely shocked at this and how many people do they try this with and get away with it!
Would try staying at Village Hotel across road next time as roughly same price and looks good too.
