We stayed here last night because we were going to see Kevin Bridges, we were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception who offered us complimentary cheese crackers and some wine which i thought was a lovely touch. She then told us where our room was. The room was small but was really lovely inside and very modern, the shower was amazing too. There was also complimentary glass bottle of water in our room shower gel and soap. I see people complaining about the size of the room but your told at time of booking it’s small and has no window. It’s a budget hotel and it cost £40, so I’m not sure what it is your looking for. If you want a better room then put your hand in your pocket and pay more or go elsewhere. I can honestly say it’s the best budget hotel that I’ve stayed in yet..Also really central. Would highly recommend.

No closets, no room to unpack, the bed was wall to wall and the bathroom was a frosted glass partition and nothing else! I understand small, but this was beyond that! Given we are all travellers (or we wouldn't be staying in hotels!) I'd think there would be somewhere to open up your luggage, hang some clothes or swing a cat! And the frosted glass bathroom offered no privacy whatsoever and can't imagine staying there if you weren't a couple or were sharing with others! Conveniently located near George Square and all that it offers, but would not stay here again for so many other reasons!

Hi ChunkersGolf,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your Z Glasgow experience. We do offer a wide variety of room sizes from a single room right through to a Queen size room. Our concept is compact luxury and this is clearly advertised on all of the platforms we use to sell our bedrooms. We would love to welcome you back but I do feel that perhaps there are other hotels that are better suited to your needs.

Thank You
Donald

We came here as a couple and stayed three nights. Upon arrival staff were friendly. The double room was however very small. There were no drawers or wardrobe in the room so we could not unpack our suitcases. Also the en suite is a frosted glass room with a sliding door. The door overlaps and does not seal; not ideal if you're on a romantic date. Did what we needed however just seems over engineered and so modern that it is impractical. I would not return.

Hi Fatbill911,

Thank you for your review of your time with us at Z Glasgow. I am pleased that our team were friendly and the room did what you needed. We do offer rooms from a single room right through to a Queen sized room. We do offer compact rooms as our concept and this is clearly advertised on all platforms to ensure transparency. I do appreciate this may not suit the needs of all but we would love to welcome you back.

Thank You

This hotel was in a good location and i feel this is what you are paying for. The room however was very clean. It is the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on, both My Husband and Myself had very little sleep. The draught that was coming from window, that bed is against also meant that I was very cold all night. Very noisy due to construction works next door. We have stayed in hotels of same price and felt had better value for money

Hello xloz68x,

I am thrilled that you loved our location. I agree that it is fantastic and perfect for exploring the city.

I am sorry to hear that you did not find our mattress and bed to your liking. A well rested nights rest is the most important part of any stay. I would like to have this checked and would be grateful if you could email me directly with your room number and stay date at donald@thezhotels.com.

Thank You
Donald

I was down in Glasgow for a gig and was looking for a cheap hotel for the night.
I selected the Z Hotel Glasgow and must admit I wasn’t expecting much given how little I’d paid for my night.
I must admit the hotel exceeded my expectations greatly as it is a modern and well equipped hotel staffed by friendly helpful people who are a credit to the hotel.
As I was on my own I went for a single room so no surprise that I had a single bed. A very comfortable single bed I have to add.
The room, although small, was perfect for my stay and the toilet and shower facilities were modern and very clean and new looking.
The biggest surprise I had though was discovering that the TV in the room received Sky Tv, therefore I was able to watch the conclusion of the Ryder Cup golf from the comfort of my room rather than trying to track down a pub which was showing the golf.
I’ve stayed at hotels many times more expensive and had only terrestrial TV so hats off to the Z Hotel for having satellite TV at no additional cost in the rooms.
The rooms must be well soundproofed too as, although the hotel was busy I heard no noise at all in the adjacent rooms or even from outside.
My only minor gripe would be the lack of a wardrobe to hang clothes up in. There were only 2 coat hangers on the wall to put my clothes on.
Minor gripe really as I was travelling light anyway.
I will definitely stay here again.
Big shout out to the staff at the front desk as they are doing a great job.
