We enjoyed our stay at the Thurso Surf Pad. A wonderfully quirky accommodation, it was well equipped with three bedrooms (the 3rd being an attic loft with two full beds). Plenty of free parking on the street on town. A great place to use as a base to explore the northern region of Scotland. I'd highly recommend it for the value and location.
Highly recommend, a home away from home on a quiet street with plenty of parking. A two or three minute walk through town to the surf.
Perfect location right in the centre of Thurso. The accommodation is very spacious, plenty of room for our family of 4, each having their own area. The loft is brilliant. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine in the downstairs laundry room very useful. Very cosy warm flat . Doug made our arrival in the property and our leaving very easy and flexible. We would definitely stay here again.
Made a surf wkend brilliant.
The pad has everything you'd want, warm and has all the amenities - particularly good wet room for making sure you have a dry wetsuit for the next session
Doug the owner spot on in comms
And the waves were class!
Many thanks - great surf pad.
Had a great stay at the surf pad, it was perfect for us. It was clean, easy to access and easy to use.
Doug was great, relaxed and professional.
Would definitely stay again.
Had to go to Thurso last minute and all the hotels were booked up. Luckily for us the Surf Pad was available. I'd imagine this place would be brilliant with family groups and friends, but as a business location - you'd have to get on well with your travel mate. Luckily I did and the extra space that a cottage gives you, compared to a hotel, was very welcome. If you stay, try they St Clair Hotel, almost opposite, for an evening meal - absolutely delicious (Cullen Skink is amazing), and they have a good selection of whiskies if that's your thing. All in all a very good place to stay. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
