In June, a group of 9 of us invaded Glasdair House, taking up three of the rooms (lots of space in all of them, especially comfy in the family room for four). Mary & Matt were incredible, everything we asked for was taken care of, and more! It was late and instead of dining out, we ordered food delivered. We asked if we could use their charming group dining area, even though it meant they'd have to clean up again to reset for breakfast? No problem, they said! Absolutely scrumptious custom-made (including traditional Scottish cuisine) breakfasts for everyone in the party at different times in the morning? Of course, they said! Honestly, I don't think we've ever stayed at a B&B with such a wonderful combination of personalized service and friendliness and professionalism. It's also in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown. I can't recommend a stay here highly enough.

Hello to you all!
Thank you for a great review! It was a pleasure to host you and the family at Glasdair House. We are happy that we could help you enjoy your stay, after a long day of travelling eating out would be the last thing on my mind.
We hope you all enjoyed the fishing trip and that Skye and the rest of your holiday was enjoyable.
All the best from Scotland!
Matt & Mary

My family recently stayed two nights at Glasdair House and were very pleased. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable and have new bathrooms. The furnishings were new other than some worn carpet. The breakfasts are custom cooked for you! It is a short walk along level sidewalks to town for pubs, restaurants, etc. The parking is off road. The building is in an attractive residential neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Our room was comfortable and clean and in a nice location. A short fifteen minute walk into Inverness along the river. Lots of nice restaurants on the other side of the river before you reach the town. The accomodation was quiet and a good breakfast was served. The owners are lovely people who go out of there way to make you feel welcome. The carpets were the only let down and really need to be replaced in what is a charming house in a lovely area of Inverness.

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for this glowing review! we're pleased you enjoyed your breakfast, and that the guest house was quiet and comfortable for you. I am however intrigued by your comment regarding our carpets - as you're the only person to mention it i would greatly appreciate if you could elaborate a little more via email at staying@glasdairhouse.com

We spent one night here - we were offered two rooms - one was a decent size, but was next to the front door opposite the Breakfast area and small lounge area, so we opted for an upstairs room which was quieter, but very small. OK for one night, but no seats in it - too small - so my wife had to kneel on the floor and use the window cill to do her make-up. It is very close to a large entertainment venue in the centre of Inverness which had a pop concert on the night we were there. Fortunately, it shut down at 2230 - but it was very loud up until then! The room was spotless, and the staff very friendly.

While on our Heart of Scotland tour we were booked into Glasdair House and what a treat. The location is excellent, so close to the centre of Inverness. We were able to easily walk to a great selection of restaurants. The walk was beautiful as we strolled along the river. With all the parking available they were also able to accommodate our small tour coach.

Mary and Matt make the accommodation so pleasant with all the extra touches - home made fudge, nice cookies with tea and coffee in the rooms. Having such a beautiful room with very comfortable twin beds gave us a relaxing time. Amazing breakfasts with so much selection. It was so nice to be able to pick and choose a customized breakfast including a nice hot Scottish breakfast to start the day. Also, having the ability to take some fruit and flapjacks for a morning treat on the bus was an added treat

The only recommendation I have is that whoever is booked into Room 2 needs to have a personal lesson on the shower. It is unfortunate the installation was not done correctly and with some coaching I am sure we could have easily enjoyed it as well.

Overall this is a truly wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an overall amazing experience.

Hello Margaret!

We hope you are well and that you had a great time on the rest of the tour.
We just wanted to say thanks for the lovely review. It means a lot that you enjoyed all of the wee special touches around the house. You will be pleased to know the shower in room 2 has now been sorted, perhaps you can come back to stay again and give it a test drive!

All the best!

Only stayed 1 night while on business but want to come back again and stay longer. The room I had on the ground floor was large and light with an ensuite wet room. The bed was very comfortable and had a lovely nights sleep. Mary and Matt were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent. Cannot fault anything. Extra touches of homemade was lovely.b

Room Tip: I stayed in room 7
