One of the best meals we had in our UK travels. Portions were more than ample. The lamb shank in a ragout of aubergine was just sensational and the steak and ale pie was big enough for two but so savory that no one would share it! If I lived in Inverness this would be a weekly haunt for me. Do not miss!

Had three dinners over a week and kept going back because of the comfortable and atmosphere and good food. Staff were friendly and at no time made me feel awkward as a solo female diner - which has happened in other venues. Ate at a bar table towards front one night and in back restaurant section other times. Food consistently good and can recommend the chicken burgers.

We had an early dinner here on one of our holiday evenings, and it was a great choice. We were looking for something a bit more casual, a place with Scottish-style fare, a good selection of ales, and well prepared, tasty food. Number 27 ticked all the boxes. We were a party of four, and each person ordered something different. Everyone was very pleased with their meal, and we enjoyed some great local ales. As it was still early, there wasn't a crowd when we arrived, but it was bustling when we left. The service was very good, and we would go back if we ever return to Inverness.

Recommended by our taxi driver.
Excellent food! ☺

Recommend the Scottish Tapas as a started.

If you like Steak and Ale pie this the place to have it. Fish and chips equally delicious. Its fresh and lightly battered.

Top it off with sticky toffee pudding you'll be in hog heaven.

Service very friendly.

True gem!

We were lucky to get a table - make a reservation if you want to go! We very much enjoyed the wonderful food and lovely presentation. Good options for the kids. We ate everything brought to the table. Great choice in Inverness!
