“Great Place to Stay!”
Reviewed 14 October 2011

This was our first Scottish B&B, and what a great way to start! Hosts were warm, friendly, and informative. Location could not have been better (easy walking to town, right on a park and the water), furnishings and common areas were just lovely. Hosts helped us find two great restaurants, and also the elusive Clava Cairns nearby. Only drawback was that parking was a bit tricky, especially as we were just getting used to driving on the left, but we managed without mangling their lawn or flowers! Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and explore the area!

My husband and I stayed at the Glebe End during a recent golf holiday in Scotland. The Glebe End came highly recommended and certainly did not disappoint. The room was spacious with several windows including excellent views of the firth and park. The location is within walking distance to several restaurants and town and just a few minutes to Nairn Golf Club. Each morning we were greeted by the smiling George and Angela who served a delicious breakfast. They could not have been more hospitable.

It was so wonderful that we found a place like Glebe End, our hosts were helpful and we really felt like home! The breakfast was wonderful and also our room the nicest we had on our two weeks journey! We loved it a lot to stay with Angela and George!

We stopped here for one night while doing a tour of the scottish highlands. we booked at very short notice and were lucky to get the last available room. the couple who own the B&B are very welcoming: they met us on arrival and showed us to our room with the minimum of fuss whilst letting us know the house rules. They we're very helpful in that they advised us on where we could go that evening in Nairn.

With regards to the the establishment and room, it's impossible to find a bad word. The whole of this beautiful house was immactulatelty clean, very tastefully & richly decorated. The room, like the house was impeccable as was the en-suite bathroom. The only drawback- and this is no fault of the proprieters but worthwhile mentioning- is that the TV in the adjacent room is clearly wall mounted as the gentleman in the room next door to us had it on and appeared to have fallen asleep with it left on. Even though the TV wasn't loud, it was clearly audiable and I unfortunately had to knock at 2am to ask to turn it down.

The breakfast the following morning was superb: excellent choice; excellent quality (the bacon & black-pudding were clearly from a good butcher and not your supermarket standard) and superbly prepared. we ate in the dining room with the other guests.

We stayed At glebe end as a group of 8 golfers , the accomodation is immaculate and the owners are really freindly people. 6 of our group stayed in the annex and 2 in the main house on b&b basis , the food was 1st class and as a group we could not find one fault with time there - GLEBE END IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!

We played golf at the following courses in order best to least best (still great !!!) Royal dornoch, castle stuart, nairn championship, moray old course, boat of garten, brora, forres, grantown on spey, nairn dunbar , moray new course.

Great location for golf - easy to access all areas around the moray firth.

We booked Glebe End for a family stay whilst attending a wedding, and what a stroke of luck!! Everything about the guest house was superb, from the clean comfortable rooms, to the excellent home cooked breakfast. The owners made every effort to make us welcome, and it certainly enhanced our visit to Nairn. The quiet location was just off the sea front and was very convenient for the town centre. To cap it all, the rates were excellent, and we will certainly stay again hopefully soon.

Room Tip: All rooms great.

My wife and me stayed at the "GlebeEend B&B" for two nights. We found this B&B via the tourist information in town centre and we were very lucky with this. Angela and George were so very nice and very obliging. Breakfast was just great and we met some nice people here, so breakfast took a little longer. The B&B lies perfectly situated at a quiet part of the town, with direct view to the sea. The beach is just a few walkingminutes away and right opposite of the street is a park. The room we had was very spacious and, what we appreciated most, VERY clean. And I mean it. During our 2 weeks in Scotland this seemed not to be self-evident. We've seen rooms with bugs, toilets with stains, showers with mould, carpets with spots and all this at much higher rates, and even though Tripadvisor recommended. But not here, Angela and George keep their B&B perfectly clean. We had really loved to stay longer at the Glebe End, but our schedule forced us to leave after two nights. In retrospective, we wished, we had found this B&B earlier. We'll definitely keep "The Glebe End" in mind for our next stay at Scotland, since it is a perfect place to stay at a very good value. And there is very much to see and to do around Nairn. My recommendation is Brodie Castle, even better than Cawdor Castle.
