“An incredible Adventure”

Alladale Wilderness Reserve
Reviewed July 30, 2017

Beverly and I sadly left Alladale on Thursday. Our short 4 day stay was an experience of a lifetime. From meeting both Tom and Steve at the lodge to welcome us, to hooking up with Ryan and Innes who took us on some incredible advemtures, to the 1st class Eagles Crag and it wonderful surrounding, we had such a wonderful time.

We would like to come back for another visit sometime in the future and stay longer. I feel so fortunate that you found some time for our visit on your schedule.

We really respect and honor the owner’s mission with the land and both Innes and Ryan are incredible stewards as well as having so much knowledge of the surroundings.
My fishing trips were both memorable and successful.

Alladale will custom fit whatever adventure you would like during your stay. It can vary from staying in the 5 star lodge, having your meals cooked to staying in the incredible self catering cottages they have.

My time at Alladale will be etched in my mind forever and we will be back.

Thanks to all at Alladale Wilderness Reserve

We were three couples with a young baby and had an unforgettable stay at Eagles Crag cottage in the Reserve. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and is set in the most amazing location for getting away from it all.

We enjoyed great walks, challenging runs, lots of relaxation in front of the log burner, a couple of very tasty meals by Tom and on the other evenings we cooked in, having done a click and collect Tesco shop in Inverness (apparently supermarkets will not deliver to the reserve and its quite a drive to the nearest shops). We had a fun 4x4 tour of the Reserve with Ronnie and explored the region by car including trips to Dornoch and Glenmorangie distillery.

The 2.5 mile driveway is quite spectacular but if you have use of a 4x4 we would really recommend it as our little VW golf was pretty battered by the end of the week. There is no phone signal and very patchy wifi which cannot be relied upon - great if you want to switch off but should be noted.

Highly recommend this place if you want to escape to a seriously amazing setting but still enjoy home comforts.

Thank Robbie S
