“"Quirky"”
Reviewed April 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The Glen of Rait Tower, is quirky, externally it is sound and double glazed while inside none of the doors fit. The tower is actually very comfortable, but none the less very quirky. We stayed with four families, and all really enjoyed their stay, the living room is huge and has something for everyone of all ages including long walks with the four legged visitors. Every room has something that is nor quite right which only adds to the charm of the tower, even the jigsaw has three parts missing which sums up the building, the owner is great in that he visited us on arrival and helped to make our stay comfortable. All in all a great stay, and we will be back....

“Great break, spacious, comfortable accommodation, competitively priced”
Reviewed April 10, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Setting is ideal for Peace and quite and wonderful relaxation for a short break with friends and family. Accommodation was even nicer than photographs, all areas comfortable, plenty space and ample seating in the main lounge with open fire. The dining hall was particularly nice, lots of room for our party of 9 and easily accommodated by the adjacent kitchen which provided all catering appliances required.
Great to ramble about the hills and the views are truly spectacular, we also ventured by car to Perth, Scone, St Andrews, Dalgety Bay and visited 3 different antique centres.
Hope to return in the summer so we can take advantage of the patio areas and BBQ. Should mention that there is plenty space for parking and wifi

“Great house beautiful location”
Reviewed March 22, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate a family 50th birthday - 11 guests and the family dog. The house was superb with excellent facilities - great kitchen, dining hall and lounge with open fire! All bedrooms were very comfortable. The location won it for us all - we enjoyed long family walks in the hills surrounding the property. The scenery and views were out of this world. It is a quirky step back in time mixed with mod cons - and worked really well as a functional home from home for all.

“Homely”
Reviewed December 27, 2015 for a stay in December 2015

We booked this home to get the Scottish side of the family together for Christmas and all agreed it was very homely and warm with a quirky step back in time feel. The kitchen had everything required to prepare Christmas dinner along with a few dishwasher tabs to lighten the clearing up afterwards. The beds were comfortable and the whole house is generously furnished for large numbers. The wifi is good and needed as phone signal could only just be gained outside. Bear in mind the house is quite a distance from any amenities so come with plenty of food and refreshments. The owners were very helpful and next door if needed and the house is surrounded by areas to walk which despite the rain was handy with our dogs. The only things I would recommend is some new soft towels and perhaps a type of "welcome book" created by the owners detailing walks, areas and other local recommendations but the house really is ideal for groups large or small looking to get away from it all.

“Great house for socialising”
Reviewed November 30, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We visited Doocot Tower for the weekend and had a fab time, 8 adults, 2 kids plus dogs. There was plenty of space in the house for all of us. One of the bedrooms is a family room, another had a fold away mattress and there was a day bed in the landing, so there's lots of room for us all to sleep.
The big room was great for enjoying a few drinks by the fire. Favourite spot of all was the long dining table in the hallway, which felt like the heart of the house. Great for kids colouring, playing games as well as everyone getting together for our meals.
The kitchen is perhaps a little tired however is very well equipped. The main thing we missed was a freezer as we'd brought ice cream etc.
The whole house has bags of character, quirky and cosy. We will definitely come back here.

“Great place for peace and quiet”
Reviewed August 17, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We used the place as a base to visit family in Dundee Granddaughters loved the 'princess castle' while we enjoyed the quiet of the cottage next door. Plenty of space for extended family to stop over if required Accommodation comfortable and suited to the surroundings. Very enjoyable stay.
