The owners were so helpful. Couldn't be faulted in any way. Will certainly book again. Even the weather was perfect that week

“Peaceful and homely.”

Although the cottage is semi detached and there are a few cottages close by we found it to be very quiet and peaceful.
The cottage itself is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there and more. The spa bath was a surprise and the gas coal fire very welcome on cold evenings...even though there is full central heating.
The very reliable wi fi was handy as there is absolutely no mobile signal, in the cottage or village.
We were made very welcome by Pauline and found wine, cake tea and coffee as a welcome gift.
It took only 11 minutes to walk into the village where there's a large co op supermarket, post office, as well as a variety of places to eat.
Queen Elizabeth park is close by and it's an easy drive to Callander and bigger towns like Stirling.
All in all a very good cottage in a lovely setting.

We thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for us and glad you enjoyed your stay. Just as information for future guests, O2 mobile signal is not very good in the village and have been having some problems over the last few weeks. However other network providers like Vodafone,EE and others seem to work very well. Hope this did not cause too much of a problem for you. We appreciated your comments and hope that we may welcome you back sometime in the future.

“The best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in!”
Reviewed November 4, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Lomond View Cottage is an absolute gem. The cottage is immaculate, with two lovely bedrooms, an excellent, large lounge / dining room, a kitchen with all you'll ever need and, most importantly, a spectacular setting.

The cottage is in a large clearing in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, with stunning views (an overused phrase these days, but completely appropriate, in this case) to the hills and mountains. We stayed in October, when the trees were every shade of yellow, gold and russet brown.

Aberfoyle is a 10 minute stroll from the door, with lots of lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants, plus a well-stocked co-op.

Pauline and Steve (the owners) are lovely, friendly folk who have prepared the perfect holiday cottage (and I do mean perfect!). I can't recommend Lomond View Cottage enough and will be back next year!

We thank you for your positive comments. With regards to the neighbour you refer to, which is a fair distance away, this is the first time we have had any comments to this effect nor have we experienced any problems in the past. The gentleman works for the Forestry Commission and we can assure you he is burning wood and not old oil! We hope this has not had too much of an effect on your holiday.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed October 19, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

I really enjoyed the stay with my family in the cottage.
On arrival Pauline had provided us with tea, coffee, milk, wine and a cake, all added extras to help us relax after a long day of traveling.
The condition of the cottage was exellent, fully stocked with everything you could think of.
We took our dogs with us on our holiday and we were delighted when we checked the garden and found it was fully enclosed, so we could let them have a run around (although most of the time they just sat at the bottom of the garden with the highland cattle).
Due to our stay being at the end of September we were extremely greatful that we were able to put the heating on and not have to worry about any extra cost.
The cottage had wonderful views, the best one was of the mountains from the conservatory , it was even gorgeous on the foggy mornings!
The surrounding area was superb, with plenty to do and lots to see. We did a lot of walking around the area, which our 2 dogs loved We also did the 'Go Ape' which was a great laugh.

I would high recommened this cottage, for families with dogs.

“Even better”
Reviewed August 15, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We have rented this cottage before and always gave it a good review, thinking it could not be any better, but were wrong. The tv has been upgraded , the gas fire in the lounge and the central heating boiler. We saw nothing wrong with the other ones. Pauline and Steven are excellent hosts, they leave you to get on with your holiday, but are there at the end of the phone if you need them, no matter how trivial
