Couldn't fault this hotel. We had a sea facing room which was lovely. The food was wonderful and the waiting staff and chef were extremely helpful in meeting very particular dietary needs (for medical reasons). All the staff were very friendly and the hotel seemed very well run. There are two lounges for guests (where dogs are allowed) as well as the conservatory and dining room (where they are not) and a garden across the small very quiet road with lovely views. Lots of books of different sorts are available. It's lovely to be on Iona before/after the day trippers. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Book a sea view room if possible

My wife, brother, sister-in-law, Labrador and myself arrived to the hotel looking for a light lunch. As we had a dog I assumed that we would have to eat in the attractive garden. The owner invited us all inside as it was cool outside. We were shown into a lovely front sitting room where we had sole use. We all had soup and sandwiches followed by tea or coffee.
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We will definitely look to use this hotel on future visits.

We had a comfortable room with plenty of space for our two westie dogs. The food was superb - even breakfast was cooked especially/individually for you. And we ordered dinner at the same time so we just had to enjoy a large G & T in one of their lovely lounges before walking into dinner with everything sorted. But its not just the first class food. This is a family run hotel and we quickly got to know the owners names and boy did they really help us. Like other guests we reached Iona by foot ferry and yet managed to leave a dog bag by the hotel seat on our return. When we got home and phoned the hotel they had located our bag and sent it on to us. It has just arrived and we are delighted. This extra courtesy was the icing on the cake. I'm sure we will return to this beautiful and peaceful island where everyone is friendly!

Room Tip: There is no traffic noise in Iona so I suspect all rooms are quiet and the ones at the front all have superb sea views

We had a room with a seaview. As the sun shone constantly we were delighted to see the bright blue sea and sky. Our room was small, but that was the nature of the hotel. It was very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
There was a good choice for cooked breakfast, and it was very nicely cooked and presented. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. The evening meals were delicious.
There were three public lounges - quite small, but very cosy and friendly.
We would love to go back!

Room Tip: Sea view was lovely, but it would be cheaper not to have a view

Comfortable en suite room. Excellent food. Really helpful and friendly owners and staff. Took care of me when I injured my hand and other medical needs. The group accommodation in one of the 3 lounges was perfect for our needs and kept private. We had tea and coffee provided in this room 3 times a day for very little cost. The 2 members not staying in the hotel were welcomed in our joint evening meal. Special diets were accommodated. Group was 10 persons from 3 countries.
