Went to the NFC in fitz park today, ordered a double espresso and recieved basically dirty water. I understand it is a busy cafe but to get the basis of all coffees so wrong, i will bring my own coffee to the park in the future. Zero extraction from the bean, water rushed through leaving no cremer, no flavour and nothing that resembles an espresso. Complained but received no alternative to what I was given. Very disappointed.

Called in today on a very busy Friday and was very impressed at the friendly staff.

The interaction between the staff, customers and tourists was a pleasure. The location in Paul Street is so cool and the food, especially the cakes were enticing ....it was a pity I could not stay longer but I will definitely be back !!!

Cakes and sandwiches are amazing but Coffee is average.they have also a great selection of te and herbal te.
They have three locations, City center, Fitzgerald park and Blackrock area.

I love the one in the Fitzgerald park, it is a great place to have a cafe, surrounded of flowers, trees.. and with the river view.

The cafe in the Blackrock area it is small but they have some tables outside. It is a great option during spring and summer but otherwise it is too cold to be outside (Maybe if you are irish you are ok with this).

The cafe in the City center it is just ok. I go only to pick up cakes or food, but not to stay, even i really like the top floor. I would advise the owner to clean the city center place a bit more and be careful to serve coffee on clean mugs, as once i went and my mug and my friend's mug were dirty.

Any way, cakes and sandwiches are really good :)

This is probably one of the best (and most underrated) cafes in Cork. The staff are so exceptionally friendly and the 'product' is SO good. Certainly you may need to queue for a while..happens with excellent eateries like this...but it gives you an opportunity to see how fellow customers are treated. An excellent place.

Had a ready-made salami sandwiches and the person who made it had a really heavy hand with relish, it was soaked with relish on one side of the slices of bread. the slice of bread was falling apart with the moisture from the relish (can be easily prevented if they buttered the bread first) and I could taste nothing but relish. I got rid of the slice with the relish and tasted better then. Not much filling and I think it's overpriced. Pity.
