We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now during visits to Cork. It's main attraction is its location, smack bang in the city centre. If the ladies wish to do shopping they can do so to their hearts content, knowing the hotel is never more than 5 or 10 minutes walk away so they can drop the bags and go out again. All restaurants, pubs and shops are located within walking distance in the city. The restaurant is OK, staff are friendly and nice. Breakfast is copious and again staff are plentiful and friendly. My main criticism is the rooms. They are in need of updating, fresh paint, wallpaper etc. Carpets could also do with a review. I am giving it 3 stars mainly because of this. I would recommend the hotel but next time will probably try the Clarion for a change.
