A comfortable stay in a cosy hostel. The rooms were very clean but the decoration perhaps a little garish. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Overall, an excellent little place on a bustling street in the heart of real Dublin.

They ask you to pay in advance. The room was careless, dirty, ugly. There were some problems with the Heater and hot water facilities...Shared dirty bathroom & showers. They don't invest a euro in minimal maintenance operations, that´s for sure.

It was a great trip and the hostel was very good. Very pleasant and helpful staff, cool rooms, big windows, great location, no curfew, rooms with sink, mirrors, table, sit and towels. Highly recommended for young people!!

Quite nice esp for the price. Very close to the city, and all the basic necessities were provided. Quote comfy for a night sleep. Heard about the Holyhead Hostel's building history. You might not realise that ur staying in a very old building.

I was very impressed with the Holyhead. The staff were friendly, the room decor was vibrant and it is very much a cheap and cheerful place. I particularly liked the palm tree painted on the room's wall!

Location wise its excellent, the showers always had hot water and the beds were relatively comfortable.

For what you pay, its worth it, if you want something a bit more flash, get your nuggs out!

We went to Ireland for a long weekend, and the hostel had been booked before I got a say in, and after looking it up a bit, I was dreading it. I had heard so many bad things that I was debating going anymore! But, we went. We arrived in dublin at 9am, but check in wasn't until 2pm. However, they took our bags in so we could go exploring! We got back just after two, showed to our room, told everything we needed to be told and were left. The room was larger than I expected, and the bed was very comfy. It was simple, safe, and the most important clean. Two towels were left for us. They boys have a deal with the pub across the road that you can get a doscounted breakfast, which was delicious! Satisfied with the safety as you had two keys, one for your door, and one for the main hostel door. The only downside was our window was right out into the bit for smoking, but that wasn't anybodies fault so I can hardly count it!
