Stayed here for 1 night when attending a gig in Dublin. Location is ideal, very central and easy access to transport to and from the airport and around the city. Check in was very straight forward and staff friendly. You are given your bedding at reception (towels are not provided) and told to take any free bed in the room. Room was fine, clean and bed comfortable. It was a very hot day but, opened windows in the room and was airy enough. Bathroom was en-suite, which is a nice luxury for a hostel as previously have to leave the room to use the bathroom. Breakfast is provided and self-service, basic but, fine. I think one of the breakfast staff's day must have started badly as she was snappy with another guest for not putting her empty glass in the right place.
I had booked an all female dorm and this was confirmed on check-in by the member of staff. However, next morning when I got up there was a male in the bunk below me, so for anyone that this may be a big issue for, just be aware. I mentioned it when checking out and the member of staff asked which doe#rm it was and just said "Yes, it's weird when that happens".More
