Description: Viva is a Traditional Authentic Spanish Tapas Restaurant right in the heart of Dublin city. Opening in Portobello has given us the opportunity to keep to our ethos of quality ingredients 100% Guaranteed tracable Irish and Spanish meats, Spanish cheeses, delicious Seafood, Deserts and a range of nearly 100 Spanish wines, Cavas and Craft Beer. With seating for over 80 people and outdoor seating in the front terrace and a private patio to the rear, al fresco dining is a pleasure on a warm balmy evening or a long weekend brunch with friends and bottomless cava cocktails, yum! All we need is a little sunshine and you would almost think you were in Spain give or take a few degrees! Taste is key, our menu offers a wide selection of tapas, raciones and main dishes including vegetarian and coeliac friendly options too. Early bird menu all day Tuesday & Wednesday as well as well as 5pm - 6:45pm every other day open. Brunch served, Saturday & Sunday's 12pm to 4:30pm.

After some friends recommendation I decided to pop by the restaurant and talk with the staff to prepare a party for 12 people. Talked about budget and they took the freedom to make up a great group menu for a really good price. Not only filling but also delicious, fresh, rich and flavorful! Had a tapas menu with tablas, croquetas, meatballs, calamari, spanish omelette, paella... and some more. All of them great and don't forget to treat yourself to some dessert - the chocolate cake was amazing very smooth and light. Sangría was the key to feel like home! And with the wonderful staff made the night a great memory. Thank you very much for all the attention and joy. xx

It's a small nice tapas restaurant serving simple but tasty dishes in very laid back atmosphere. Food was good and staff are incredibly nice. Also we used a voucher for 50% off for a great value

I took my mother here last night as she raves about it constantly to me. I get why now. Our waiter (who i believe is a joint owner) greeted us with a warm smile before giving us a choice of seating. He was friendly and polite and makes you feel right at home. They've just gotten their beer licence so I was delighted with my few Estrellas. Foodwise, the meatballs were delicious, the whitebait is spectacular, The bravas are the best i've had in Dublin and possibly even better then the best i've had in Barcelona but let's call it a tie for now. Couldn't help myself and got some battered cos as well. It was really good and not greasy at all. My mum also got the Tortilla which is big enough to share so I helped myself because it is also really good. Of course we polished off a cheesboard for desert with amazing Manchego cheese I have to say my favourite thing though is the atmosphere. We arrived at 6 and left at close to 9.30. My mum told me even at weekends this is the norm. They have plenty of room so don't rush you out the door like a lot of restaurants. You can chill out and have some wine and beer and they are delighted to have you. Myself and my girlfriend will be next to visit in a few weeks. Until then, i'll be dreaming about the bravas. 5 Stars

Viva was reccomended to me by a Spanish friend. Have been there twice now in as many months and plan to go back again with other friends soon. love the tapas, there are so many to choose from that i will need a few more visits. The Patatas Bravas are lovely as is the calamari , but these are always my favourites while on holidays in Spain. Prices are good, give it a try!

After a considerable search for tapas in Dublin I came across this absolute gem! Having plenty of experience with spanish cuisine my hopes were high and were indeed met and surpassed. Sat at a high table near the bar, we enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine which was chosen for us by the lovely and knowledgable Gareth, who I have to say made our evening absolutely perfect! The food was spot on from the delicious olives to the lamb chops and tasty traditional stews. Beautifully presented, consistently well seasoned and perfectly authentic. If you are looking for a fun, delicious spanish experience in the heart of Dublin this is the place!
