ive been to a fair few places in my time, but this place was terrible, the only thing that was clean was the bed clothes, the bed side lamps had no bulbs in them, the picture on the wall was broken and the door wouldnt lock properly from the inside, went with a friend shopping to city centre so we went in the night before and stayed here to be close to shops for the morning, talk about a shock did we get, reception looks lovely and the staff were nice in fairness, but the rooms totally let the place down, i did like the way they had celebrity names for all the bedrooms though, i thought it was a good idea...but that was about all that i liked....

Room Tip: honestly, i dont think there is a good room here....

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and after reading the reviews I was a bit worried but I needn't have been! This hotel is fine, it is very central and close to all facilities! The room was very clean maybe a little small but cosy!
The power shower in the bathroom was great and there is a little tv to watch if you're in for a bit!
There is a nightclub next door but this didn't interfere with our sleep at all!I can honestly say I have no complaints , you get what you pay for, it's no frills but a fine hotel in fairness, good value for money!

writing this on the hotel WIFI in the room. Everything worked as (lights, tv, shower) Tea coffee facilities in room. Not a place for kids, or an early night sleep as the nightclub is right beside. Central location, friendly staff... we got a late check out too. No complaints, good value for the price.. Decent ** hotel, and we have stayed in plenty of the ***** ones too.

Recommended as long as you don't mind the nightclub (maybe that's what you're into)

Room Tip: get a room on the street side maybe quieter

The only good things about this place are that its cheap and the location is very good. It really is at the very bottom of the scale for hotel accomodation though.

We had a triple room booked but were only provided with 2 tiny worn towels. The beds were also broken and sinking in the middle. bit depressing in general.

The room did look freshly painted but in a horrible green colour. The room was clean though and only cost 75 for the room for the night so it was fine for our purposes. There was no parking and on street parking starts at 7 every morning other than sunday so we had to hop up and put money in the meter from that time (2.90 per hour.)

Its located on Camden street which is about 5 mins walk to the top of st stephens green and grafton street and has plenty of bars and places to eat. avoid the village for food though.. solas is better. Camden street is parallel to Harcourt street which has a couple of clubs including krystal (quite pretentious) d2 and copper faced jacks (always jammed with cheesy music) and is a few minutes walk to tripod and crawdaddy (dance orientated.)

Camden court at the top of the road is a much nicer hotel but generally more expensive. worth it though.

We had an idea it would not be too great after reading the previous reviews - unfortunately we did that after booking! The hotel is literally a converted theatre which houses a nightclub and the rooms are situated above, behind and next to it. The sound levels are awful, most of our group had no sleep in the 2 days we were there. There is a beer garden situated at the back of the hotel which is in use long into the night and that is so noisy. Couple with that you have the main road outside the front door which is full of noisy pubs and all you can hear is people leaving in the early hours - I think the last one was at 5:00! And the noise from the traffic hooting their horns all night is unbelievable.
Then there's the interior, they are currently painting it but that means literally over the top of everything. The showers are covered in mould on the grouting, tiles are broken in the bathroom. Towels are so hard its like drying yourself with sandpaper. The bedlinen was clean and appeared to be new but the bed bases are on show and look like they have been vomitted on! The sofa in the Peter O'Toole room was so tatty I couldn't bring myself to sit on it. The window would not open properly and as we were at the top of the building they were velux type ones in the sloping roof which children could easily climb up onto and straight out - not good. There was a sign outside our room stating a fine for improper use of the fire extinguisher but guess what - there wasn't one. There were wires tucked behich the bed and the overhead light titting wasn't working so only 2 lights worked, not good when it was dark and you couldn't see in the mirror. There was no hairdryer although advertised and the room was right next to the lift shaft which you could hear going up and down everytime it was used. The saving grace was the receptionist, she was incredibly helpful and so nice and friendly. When we got up the first morning the hall had bags of rubbish dumped outside rooms and half eaten pizzas - I presume the clubbers had left these. I would not consider recommending this hotel to anyone no matter how tight a budget.
Location wise it is about a 15 minute walk into Temple Bar area and about 10 minutes from St Stephens Green and Grafton Street.

Room Tip: The Peter O'Toole room had 5 single beds and a double so it was big and very bright

I have read the review and would has suggested that had the persons not like the room upon check in that they should have asked for a room change which would have prevented the
unpleasant stay experienced by the guest during their stay. Unfortunately I was unaware that other guests dump their rubbish out the windows, I have dealt with this, a lightbulb can blow at any time , a quick mention of this along with the request of a hairdryer to any of reception staff would have been actioned . The website clearly states that a nightclub is on the premises and operated on a thursday, friday and saturday night., as camden street has plenty of bars and clubs the noise level is out of my control.

Stayed 5-8 August with a friend on a girly weekend in Dublin. Bought as part of a package deal with flights with RyanAir for £132.

Like any hotel the Camden Deluxe has good and bad points.

Good:
Comfortable Bed
Reasonable Sized Bathroom (though the shower curtain was a bit dingy)
Not too far from Temple Bar area/Grafton Street
Bus from Airport runs past hotel
Also near to Bus stop for Airlink buses
Plenty of towels

Bad:
Room smelled of smoke on arrival
Nightclub attached to hotel over 20s only - a problem for us as we are only 19!
Bathroom looked old/worm
Only three working channels on television
Only five coat hangers in wardrobe in a room with space for three people
Limited space for clothes storage
Vent in bathroom thick with dust (some dropped off whilst I was brushing my teeth :S)

On the whole, satisfied with the stay - nothing amazing but not half as bad as some reviews make it out to be.
