Recommended by our tour guide on our free Dublin walk. Lots of manuscripts about the three major religions and how these impacted the written word. Worth spending an hour or so.

Been to so many galleries and museums all over the world but Chester Beatty is such a beautiful free of charge little museum. It includes amazing manuscripts from all Italy, Japan, Iran, India, Egypt, Israel and many more. I was amazed to watch a short video about a Yemenite Jewish wedding ceremony.

The Chester Beatty Library was on my "must visit" while in Dublin. My husband and I experienced seeing the writings of ancient Egypt on papyrus and other scholarly Buddhist, Christian, Judea, and Muslim early writings.
The bonus it was all free.

Went through the library exhibits and enjoyed the history relating to all the different aspects of religious manuscripts on display.

This is an excellent museum for those interested in manuscripts and religion. An extensive collection of beautifully illuminated texts, particularly Islamic. The restaurant and gift shop are also worth exploring/partaking.
