“A credit to the city”

Vastly improved, renowned for its successful breeding programmes. Yes, you have to pay and the cafés and gift shops are pricey but it's worth it for children. It's in the Phoenix Park.

“Good day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Had time to spare so a quick ride on the tram and a short walk into Phoenix Park to the zoo. Surprised to see an Amur Tiger prowling about-the largest of all the Tigers, elephants, hippo's, giraffes, rhinos, gorillas, and a lioness. Nice place for a stroll as all the enclosures all set around two large areas of water.

“zoo trips”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

As a family we make regular trips to Dublin zoo you can choose to tour the whole zoo or somedays we just lunch and do city farm with two small children the whole zoo can be too much. Car park facilities however are not great and a bit secluded for me to park there when i am alone otherwise great day out for all the family and the new gorilla enclosure is a relief :)

“Great for Kids.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

Great for kids a bit out of the city so will need taxi or car hire to get that depending on where you stay. Great Zoo but can be expensive and due to weather in Ireland you have to be prepared for all weathers
