“A suitable B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2010

The Andorra was a suitable B&B. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were on the very top floor. May not be suitable for folks that have a hard time walking up stairs. It is located in a nice neighborhood, many embassies near by. Our room faced the front of the house. A bit of road noise. Wore earplugs and no problem with it. Light from the street was a bother all night . Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was cramped. The shower was made for short people. The toilet took a long time to refill and was very noisy. Fresh towels were given each day. Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, bacon, tomato, cereal fruit, tea/coffee and breads.

Stayed with friends in the triple room which was clean and confortable. Nuala and her husband were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Ideally located we walked into the centre which took about 40 minutes but it is very easy and inexpensive to hop on a bus or take a taxi. Could not not ask for much more from of B&B accommodation. Would highly recommend.

great place to stay. we were at a congress at the RDS which is a short walk away. its easy to get to town and there is a number 7 night bus that stops right outside the door if you stay out late. Nuala is lovely and very helpful, the rooms was large and very clean.

My friend and I traveled in Ireland together for a week and stayed in the Andorra for four nights. It was really neat to stay in this Edwardian style house, especially room 1. Nuala and Fionan Clifford the hosts of the B&B were just wonderful and offered us true Irish hospitality. They were knowledgeable and helped us to get around the city and gave recommendations on restaurants and pubs. The full Irish breakfasts were amazing and I really will miss the sausage and pudding. The Andorra is located in the more posh southside of the city, so it is quiet and safe at night. Also, since my friend and I traveled by public transportation, we found the Andorra to be ideally accessible by public bus. There are 6 lines that run from the city center and stop right outside the Andorra (coming from the city, press the stop button right when you see the sign for Bewley's Hotel on your right-hand side). The aircoach shuttle that we used to get to & from the Dublin airport also has a stop on Simmonscourt, not even a two minute walk from the B&B, in front of the car gate of Bewley's hotel. Also the wifi connection at the Andorra was great, which is a plus when you are making a skype call back home. I highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed at the Andorra for 2 nights on a weekend visit to Dublin. The B&B is just a short walk from the DART station which was important as we had arrived in Dun Laoughrie by ferry. It is also only 2 DART stops from the city centre so pretty easy to get to O Connell Street, Grafton Street and Temple Bar which are the main places to go in the centre. Our room in the Andorra was huge especially compared to the majority of B&Bs that we've stayed at before. The most important thing is that it was very clean. My only complaint (and it is a very small complaint) is that breakfast is served early and after a good night out in Dublin, most people won't be able to face this at 9.0am!!

Nuala and her husband made us feel right at home. We had a large room in the back with a dressing room. Great Irish breakfast, made to order. Very comfortable. 5 minute walk to the Sandymount Dart station to get downtown or where ever. Bus stop to/from downtown right out front. In a nice, safe area across from the British Embassy. Try to get a back room as the front rooms do get some traffic noise. I would absolutely stay there again.
