We visited the Ashling House in Dublin after finding good reviews and travelor photos on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed by the quality, convenience, and price for our short stay in Dublin in May. Our family room was clean, large, and had a wonderful shower. Stephanie greeted us on our early arrival and was able to allow us access to the room as it was not rented the prior evening; which was q blessing as we had traveled all night. Breakfast was fresh and ready early with continental like options. Bus access to the City Center was convenient and Stephanie was able to sell us daily passes for the family. I would not hesitate to visit again, if travel took us through Dublin.

It was our first stay in Ireland and we chose Ashling House through Late Rooms.Com. We were very pleased with the B and B, it's cleaness, situation and all round standard of presentation and care. Padraigh and Bernadette were very helpful towards all our needs and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay in Dublin. The room was airy and light and the staff keeping the room at a very high standard of occomodation. We can thoroughly recommend this establishment for short or long stays. A good bus route is just near the property with nice walks through the park and the botanic gardens. The Addison Lodge was also good for traditional Irish music/dance and friendlyness. A big "thumbs-up" alround.

Room Tip: Room 10 is a good room if staying for a period of time. Although other rooms may be as good but we d...

Only 20 mins per bus to central city, bus stop directly in front of Ashling House. Ask Padraig for a Day Ticket (6,50 €). Very friendly owner, helps you with everything you need. You can even use the kitchen if you ask for it. Thanks again, Padraig. =)

We stayed at the Ashling House this December for 2 nights during the Christmas season when most B&B's were closed. Padraig was exceptionally helpful and explained to us how to take the local bus as well as the tourist attraction bus. We are not used to traveling via public transportation, so this was greatly appreciated. There are many lovely restaurants close by the B&B as well as a small grocery type store you can purchase snacks and such in. It is not in the middle of Dublin, but we enjoyed that it was right outside of town and we had no troubles taking the bus (5-10 minute ride tops to the center of town).

We stayed in the family room which easily sleeps 4 people and has all you need for a stay in Dublin, since you won't be in the room a lot anyway. The TV in this room was small and placed high, but this was not too much of an issue, as I said, you likely won't be spending too much time in the room. We ended up needing an extra room due to some snoring issues and Padraig was more than helpful in providing us a lovely room on the first floor that had a patio, large bed, and flat screen tv. We met travelers from around the world, and this B&B was just what we needed.

Only continental breakfast was offered, which i dont feel is satisfactory when charged 50 euro a night. The room had the basics and no more. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no hair dryer. There was a tiny tv up in the corner of the room but it was so small that i had to stand in front of it to see the details of what i was watching. There was a draft coming in the window which was right beside the head of the bed and the bathroom was freezing. Overall, not impressed and wouldnt recommend it.

Dear knightrider_12,

Thank you for taking time to review Ashling House.

I must apologise as there was no hair dryer in your room. It is a pity you did not mention this to me in the morning as I keep a stock of spare hair dryers as they do go missing on the very rare occasion.

I am disappointed you feel €50 was too expensive for a double room including continental breakfast and free parking for a one night stay on a Saturday during a reasonable busy weekend in Dublin. I understand this price was agreed in advance and that breakfast was specified as continental.

It is very clearly identified on our website and other portals that Ashling House only offers continental breakfast which includes cooked meat, cheese, cereals, fruit, yogurts, juice, fresh baked rolls, home made brown and white scones, etc. I would be disappointed if you felt you were misled in any way in this regard.

We do not have tea and coffee making facilities in individual bedrooms, however, they are available at all times, free of charge in the dining room.

I am surprised you found the room cold as this is a new annex which is well insulated including double glazed windows. In fact, on a regular basis guests in this room turn off the heat!

I had to find somewhere to stay in Dublin on a short notice and I was very lucky to find this gem. I paid €29 per room per night and it was a bargain! Not only the room and en-suite were spotless, but you can cook in a kitchen and have tea any time of the day. I have not seen the owners much but Padraig was very friendly and helpful. I would deffo come back! The only thing is if you are looking for a room with a view make sure the room is not no 9 as it is facing the side wall. Otherwise perfect! Do not hesitate to book Ashling House!

Ashling House was a new find for me in Dublin, and I was very impressed!! The house is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the breakfast was great. Even though the B&B isn't in the city centre, it is very easy to get there, and an added bonus is that it's on the way to the airport! Bernadette set us up with our bus passes for the few days we were in the city upon our arrival, and we had a very easy time with the buses.

Padraig and Bernadette were very accommodating of some scheduling changes we had, and I couldn't be happier with our stay at Ashling House!
