Myself and a friend checked out this gem of a tapas bar on a Friday evening. Great atmosphere, and a really quirky layout - nestled in Blackrock Market. The stuff were amazing - super attentive and really informative about the authentic Spanish menu. The menu is great, lots of delicious choices and a fantastic selection of wine. The cod fritters and chicken croquettes were particularly lovely - and the churros with chocolate was the perfect dessert! I went with a friend, but it would be a perfect romantic spot for couples. It's a great and unexpected find in Dublin, and I would definitely go back!

Recently went to El Celler for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service was excellent, food was great and atmosphere was very good, busy but homely and we even got to sit beside the fire! Portions were good as vouched for by our growing and always hungry teenager! Would recommend a visit and will definitely return.

We ate here recently and I have to say it is cosy and welcoming.
However I found the portions very mean for example 6 Padron Peppers and 5 Gambas which were not served with the usual oil and garlic. Also the helping of Anchovies was ridiculous 6 in total. So be prepared eat beforehand cos to me it gives a whole new meaning to Tapas (the portions are Irish style ...small) and you certainly are also paying Irish prices !!!

Visited this lovely cosy restaurant with my wife for the first time and was well impressed. We had a rewarding times voucher but we still had free reign over the menu. The food was excellent in every aspect, some reviews mentioned small portion sizes but I have to disagree we had plenty, also nice to get a little toasted bread with the prawns pil pil as the oil marinade was to die for! We will have to be back to try the churros as their machine had broken.. Even though the place was jammed we were well looked after and even benefited from a free dessert!

We bought a meal package with Rewarding Times for €60 for 6 Tapas, bottle of wine and dessert. In order to get to the restaurant we had to walk through a run down alley way, off Blackrock Main Street, but once we arrived at El Celler, we were warmly welcomed into a quirky, casual space with a roaring fire. Tapas varied from delicious (chicken croquettes & gabas) to very ordinary (mixed peppers). The deserts again one really very good (citrus creme brûlée) the other, not great (a type of chocolate marquis). The house wine was ok and they generously threw in a bottle of sparkling water. For what we paid we had a lovely night out, in a great casual atmosphere with very attentive service despite the restaurant being full, but at full price it would have been too expensive.
