My wife and I were in Killarney about a year ago and I am honestly not sure why I haven't entered a review of Jimmy Brien's until now. For that, I apologize. We only had one day/night in Killarney and while my wife took a nap, I strolled around town to get my bearings (and to find pubs). I came across Jimmy Brien's which is very centrally located. The bar atmosphere I felt was very welcoming. Some of the locals were quick to start up a conversation, which made me feel right at home. I wish I could remember the girl behind the bar, as she was also very friendly. I let them know I was going back to pick up my wife and would be back. We both came back and again were welcomed in, like we had been going there for years. After a few pints, we were asking advice on where to eat. They sent us next door at the hotel (in the bar) and the food was excellent. We stopped back at Jimmy's after the meal, making it 3 visits in the same day. The staff and locals made quite the impression on us. When in Killarney again, we will definitely stop back in. I truly appreciate how we were treated, as it made a lasting impression on both of us!
