So this is an unusual posting but one I want to leave. I should state from the outset that I did not stay at this hotel but ended up at the hotel for rather unfortunate circumstances but the level of care that my mum and I received tell me something about the character of this place. While I live in Ireland, my mum was here on a visit from the US. We traveled down from Galway to Killarney to spend a nice overnight and see the sites. However, on the road down, about 10 mins outside of Killarney, my mum fell seriously ill. I pulled in to the first public place I saw, which was the Killarney Court Hotel. I settled my mum in a lobby seat and asked the receptionist to call an ambulance. From there on, I cannot say how kind the staff were and an especially big thank you to William. The Manager of the hotel called him over and from that time, he was amazing. Making sure mum was warm (getting a blanket), checking on the ambulance, settling my nerves, making sure I was able to follow the ambulance, just everything. There is kindness and then there is this extraordinary care. The hotel was buzzing as it was Mother's Day here and yet, within all the chaos, this attention was so overwhelming kind. Mum is on the road to recovery now but she will never forget this act of kindness so a very big shout out to Stephen and his wonderful team and again William, thank you! So will we stay at what looked like a lovely hotel when we come back, absolutely!
