Stayed here for three nights last week for work and was very pleased.

The room and ensuite though not huge was very nice and very clean. The guesthouse is located about a mile from town so you need a car. A taxi is only a few euro if you're going for a drink or two.

The price I felt was good value for money.

The best part of the stay, however, was Kathleen herself. This lady could not have been more friendly, welcome or accommodating.

We were traveling through Ireland and staying at hotels. Kathleen's Country House was the one exception and we are very happy it was. We were greeted by Kathleen herself. She made us feel welcome and gave us loads of information on things to do in the area. The room and the entire building was spotlessly clear. We even asked one of the people what they do to keep their windows so clear. Answer: Wash once a week with vinegar and water.

We would recommend Kathleen's to anyone planning to visit Killarney!

This hotel was fantastic! The grounds are beautiful, location is perfect as it is a short drive from town. Kathleen is incredibly welcoming and helpful as she made many recommendations in regards to things to do and see. She even recommend a lovely Italian restaurant which turned out to have gorgeous food. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had great variety! My boyfriend and I intend to visit again soon! We loved the place so much that my boyfriend booked a room for his parents the day we were checking out!!

Kathleen herself greets you in the reception area and is wonderful to chat with. She not only remembered our names the next morning during breakfast service, but we noticed that she greeted every single other person, even the children by name.

I want to give the B&B full marks, but in truth the stay was not perfect. We had room 1 at the front and while quite generous in size, suffered from noise from the room above. We were woken around 6am with creaks and footfalls from the occupants in the room above.

The room style is very country cottage quaint. The gardens are beautiful.

Breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland. We commended Kathleen on the high quality of her bacon and sausages.

It's on the outskirts of the town so you'd need a car. Car parking is available.

Kathleen's country house is beautifully furnished, decorated and spotlessly clean, the gardens around it are beautiful. The breakfast was amazing with excellent service in the lovely breakfast room. Kathleen the owner was so friendly, welcoming and very helpful with places to visit. We would highly recommend Kathleen's and would definitely go back there.
