A little out of Killarney town but it is walkable. Plenty of free parking at this hotel. Take your swimming costume/trunks to use the spa area. Some of the rooms in the spa experience weren't working very well but we still enjoyed our time there. We were on room only basis and booked directly with the hotel and had a nice quiet room (tho some people did slam their doors!) on the 2nd floor. Complimentary bottled water left daily. No hot choc or biscuits with the coffee/tea tray though sadly. Huge bed and separate area before the bathroom to store luggage which was handy. We did pay for breakfast on our last morning and it was gorgeous. Keep your eyes peeled for the pancakes. Lovely :o). Killarney itself is a small town and as we were out of season, many places were closed (found some great pubs though) and we did say we would love to return and would stay in this hotel again. We hired a car and drove the Ring of Kerry and around Dingle. Worth doing too. Hope you enjoy your time in County Kerry as much as we did.

Decided, after a difficult few weeks that we (mom sister and i) would have a night of luxury at The Brehon. It was most enjoyable and the staff were so happy to accommodate our every need. The suite was gorgeous and our evening meal was absolutely deliscious. The view from our windows (although i am accustomed to beautiful scenery) was gorgeous. We were left a bottle of wine and chocolates as a greeting gift and generally made to feel very welcome.

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor and had views of the mountains (which were snow capped) We were in a cou...

Dear Elaine S

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review on tripadvisor. It’s always very pleasing to hear our great staff and the work our kitchen team do get the acknowledgement they deserve.
We hope to see you again sometime in the future.

A Great Irish Hotel in the best sense of the phrase. Just back from 3 days R & R in the Brehon. Originally booked for two days but stayed on the extra day as it was so relaxing. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, delicious food at the Bar, served by very friendly Staff.. The location is ideal for numerous Lake & Hill walks and back to the Hot Tub/Vitality Suite for total relaxation. Looking forward to a return visit.

We stayed for a weekend and it was very nice, big room, nice breakfast and dinner, very nice location. We were able to visit around and we were also very lucky, Aslan band played at INEC. It's the perfect location for relaxation. This hotel is definitely one of my favourites.

I have stayed in The Brehon 3 times over the last 4 years or so and up until my most recent stay I would have always said that The Brehon was a 4* hotel attempting to to be a 5* now my opinion was changed I think The Brehon is a 4* hotel with a 3* standard. Perhaps it is a recession thing but there is something lacking - the bedroom was lovely, comfortable, adequate towels, clean etc but it was just lacking something eg that little sowing pack you always get in a hotel or cotton buds they just weren't there a little thing like that means a lot. Breakfast was nice but nothing special orange juice was average the bacon was over cooked and the sausages were very average. Service was fine but lacked that personal touch. So I'm afraid to say that that The Brehon is not as good as it used to be!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room out the front at least you will have a few of the lovely mountains of Killarney
