Owner description: The first Limerick Museum opened its doors in 1916, since then the museum has changed locate on a number of occasions. It is now housed temporarily in City Hall, next to the Courthouse and St. Mary's Cathedral. The museum has thousands of objects relating to the history of Limerick on display, from Stone Age tools to some of the first car registration plates issued in Limerick. There are royal swords and clay pipes, something to interest all visitors. The museum is fully accessible to all and is free.

This Museum is an educational insight into Limerick's history and should be enjoyed. Admission is free and is easily found with a map on their website.
