“Welcoming and enjoyable stay”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

During this weekend's trip to Westport my wife and i stayed in the 'Hotel Westport'. We booked 2 nights in a premier double room and were amazed by it's cleanliness and spacious qualities It's proximity to the town of Westport is only a 5-10 min walk away, but if your lazy like me its a 2 min drive. We ate in the hotel bar while watching the 'Masters Golf', there was a good selection to choose from the bar menu and we recomend the 'fish and chips', it was beautiful and also a good portion. We stayed in the bar for several drinks and we were well looked after by the staff, very professional. The only grumble we did have about the evening in the bar was when a 'one man band' started to play when the 'golf' was at a crucial stage, this left quite a few people annoyed but the hotel suggested that we could watch it in a room next door. Breakfast was quite reasonable but i would suggest that the hotel dont serve refridgerated butter as its almost impossible to use. We never really used the any other facilities in the hotel but we were impressed enough by what we experienced and would recomend the Hotel Westport to everyone, we will certainly return.

I have just arrived back from (unfortunately only) 1 nights break in Westport. Way to short, especially if you have the pleasure of staying in the Hotel Westport. We are a family with 3 very lively boys. Firstly we booked a premier suite to suit our family size, althought we were offered a family room which would suit 2 adults & 2 kids & 1 cot but it would be a bit tight on space, so we opted to pay a little extra and get 2 rooms with a door between them. It was perfect. Lots of running room. This hotel is beautiful, clean and staff are very friendly. Credit to them on the Panda Club. My 5 & 7 year old said it was the best hotel they have ever stayed and wonder when we can go back for a longer stay. Micael & crew .......you are amazing. 2 of my boys were fed, entertained and worn out for fun that they slept like logs.
We didnt have the pleasure of eating in the restaurant as my 17 month old was a bit noisy so we opted for the bar which is more relaxed and family orientated. The food was good and the waitress was very pleasent & attentive.
Swimming Pool was a nice size and again the staff were nice there.
We had a lovely time in a beutiful setting. We will come back for a longer stay next time. Thank you to the staff and management on a welll run premises.

Room Tip: Check out the Panda Club if you have kids.....I think they undersell themselves on the internet as t...

we stayed for 2 nights b&b and 1 evening meal, everything from the food to the service to the staff was faultless.in a lot of hotels we have stayed in the bar staff are usually young part time and dont seem to be trained as well as they could be but this wasnt the case here the young staff were brilliant as was the bar manager.we found this to be the same with all the hotel staff.the only crib i would have was the shower would go hot or cold if another tap was turned elswhere, other than that it was probably our best hotel experience for many years.

wE HAD A FANTASTIC Saint Patricks weekend in Hotel Westport. The food was lovely so all awards are well deserved, service was personable and efficient , Chef Ferghal is a gift and cooked delicious Hake on Friday night in the Bar. All the staff work so hard fronted up by General Manager Declan Heneghan, from John in the Bar to Mary at Reception to SHARON AND EVA in Restaurant and Pat in Accommadation. Well done to Panda Club gang also, it is a great testiment to any Hotel when my 8 year old Daughter is crying when leaving Hotel Westport as she enjoyed her holiday so much and made great friends while there, she has brought brochures in to school with her today to tell her class and Teacher all about her weekend away. Continued success to a Great Hotel in THE BEAUTIFUL WEST OF iRELAND and We look forward to our return visit

Room Tip: Premier rooms are excellent , really comfortable
