Our rambling club had a brief but lovely visit to Tobernalt Holy Well recently. We found it a haven of peace and serenity. A very special place worth visiting.

The Holy Well is a beautiful place, a Church outdoors. Congratulations to all who maintain the grounds throughout the year. The Mass Rock, various Shrines, Flowing Water, and the Mysteries of the Rosary and Stations of the Cross help to instill a sense of prayer and reflection. Well worth a visit.

Unfortunately hadn't read the reviews before we visited. Expected a peaceful tranquil spiritual place to wander around. It is peaceful and tranquil. Unfortunately the Catholic Church has comandeered it for itself instead of leaving as it was meant to be. Didn't expect to see loads of religious statues and plaques with the decades of the rosary on them. And of course the collection boxes to light candles and say a prayer. Very disappointed. They have turned it into an outside catholic church.
