We only stayed here for a single night, but we found the Kimberley Hotel to be a delightful get away hotel. Comfortable and modern style rooms in a perfect location just two minutes away from Harrogate town centre and its main selection of restaurants and bars.
The guy who was working behind the desk was extremely helpful as were the staff in the bar/restaurant downstairs. All round great experience and will return in the future.
Stayed for one night in the extension opposite the car park. Cant wait to go back. Really modern and clean, loved the complimentary toiletries, breakfast was great too. No complaints at all.
Stayed for 2 nights had a room in the extension area across the car park. The room was amazing and refurbished. Little touches like chocolates on the pillows etc. only a couple of criticisms the bath at the corner of the shower screen was filthy!!! Breakfast on the first morning was a nightmare, food was gr8 but it was manic! Being told to wait for a table them just being seated not told if it was self service etc. I have t say it was 100 times better on the Sunday morning so it may have just been a bad morning. Asked for a bottle of water at reception at 9 pm on the Saturday night and it arrived at my room over an hour later while I was asleep! These are minor points and definitely would not put me off going back. More to be mentioned so that the hotel can see them and change this from a 99% rating from me to the 100% it deserves!!
We booked this hotel through a KGB Voucher and it was fantastic value for money.
The hotel is located in Kings Road, a lovely quiet street 5 minutes away form the Centre and restaurants (Chelthenham Parade is probably the best place for restaurants). The accommodation is split between the main front building and a smaller annexe. We stayed in the annexe with views to woodlands and it was really peaceful and quiet. The room was really good size, with the bathroom being very luxurious and tastefully done. Breakfast was nice and the staff was really welcoming.
My only comment would be that we did not pay the full price of £160 per room per night and if we did I would have probably given the Hotel 3 stars instead than 4. This is because there are things that you expect when you pay that much for a room. The access and entrance to the annexe was not looking good. No decent signage, light or plants to make the entrance visible and welcoming. The corridor was very small and the carpet in desperate need of replacing. The external door to the main building with rubbish and cigarettes on the floor. I think they concentrated their attention to the rooms rather than public areas and we did not mind that, however if you pay the full price you expect the full service. Also I believe that parking should have been included in the £160.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, however it would be good if the Hotel could improve those areas to full-fill its full potential.
Great location and an excellent hotel. Stayed for 4 nights and found the rooms clean, comfortable and modern. Impressed with the power shower, free Wi-Fi, complimentary refreshments and toiletries. The hotel is in close proximity to the town centre with all the shops, restaurants and train station only a 5 -10 minute walk. The staff were friendly, efficient and hospitable. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
