“Relaxing rural setting”
Reviewed October 14, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

My wife and I have just returned from a three week trip to England where we stayed one week in "Bramble Cottage". A most delightful place, it has the newest and very comfortable furnishings. Although we were just two it would be a wonderful place for children, what with the play yard and the farm animals. The garden shows Emma's love for flowers and the outdoors. It is a wonderful pastoral setting. Emma and her husband Rob were extremely helpful in giving us tips on what to see and were to go. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to any one wanting a countryside setting. If I can answer any questions from anyone please e-mail me.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed September 6, 2011 for a stay in August 2011

Bramble Cottage was perfect for us in every way and even the weather whilst we were there couldn't have been better!

The cottage was immaculate and the fittings and furnishings had been carefully thought through, right down to the child gates and high chair should you be travelling with young children. The kitchen had everything that you would need. In the sitting room there were plenty of books to read, DVD's to watch (for children as well as adults) and lots of information and maps about the surrounding area, which were very useful.

Also for children there is a lovely walled garden with a climbing frame and a swingball. Our kids loved this and it was hard to get them to leave the garden!

A welcome basket was waiting for us when we arrived which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

The setting is very picturesque. We loved that there were cows in the field next door and plenty of rabbits running around in the early evening. It was also great for bird watching. From the cottage there are plenty of walks to follow including an easy walk to Almscliffe Crag along a public footpath.

Harrogate and Otley are only a 15 minute drive away and Leeds and York are not far either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back to stay again.

“Had a fantastic, relaxing break.”
Reviewed August 8, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

The welcome pack was by far and away the best we have ever seen which was a great start to our break.

We found the property to be in excellent condition throughout and we could not fault anything. We had a 1 1/2 year old toddler with us and she loved the open spaces and the playground on site was very handy.

I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here if cleanliness and hight quality standards are what you are after.

“Charming cottage in the countryside not far from Harrogate, York & Leeds”
Reviewed June 25, 2011 for a stay in April 2011

We had a very enjoyable stay here in April 2011. The cottage is set in a remote location next to a farm house & is surrounded by fields & woods. It is also 15-20 mins drive from Harrogate & Leeds airport and is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the countryside & visit the local sites (Harrogate, York etc...). The cottage was very nice - fitted out to a high standard & very clean. The owners were very friendly.
You definitely need a car even though there is a railway station not so far away.

“Peaceful Retreat yet so convenient for Harrogate, Leeds (Headingley Cricket) & Yorkshire's superb Dales scenery.”
Reviewed June 21, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

In looking for a self catering cottage of quality, yet handy to all that we wished to see in our week's stay, Bramble Cottage could not have fitted the bill better. As cricket lovers we could drive to Headingley in 20/25 minutes, or reach the delights of Harrogate & The Yorkshire Dales in even less time.
Bramble Cottage was furnished to an exceptionally high standard with excellent fittings. The Welcome Pack , so full of local produce, typified the care and attention to detail of the owner Emma Burnett. Set in beautiful countryside Bramble Cottage was a 'real find' for us, and we would highly recommend it. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace & quiet of the countryside and had no qualms about being at the end of a farm track. The Burnetts farmhouse next to the cottage ensured that peace & quiet does not have to be in isolation. On a future visit we would like to take up some of the many walking possibilities from the cottage door. A return vfisit is most certainly on the cards.

“Nice cottage in a lovely countryside location but convenient for Leeds/Harrogate”
Reviewed June 21, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We are a family of four with 2 small children visting from Norway. We were after a relaxing place to stay in the countryside but was also convenient for visting friends in Leeds and also for attending a wedding at Harewood house. Bramble cottage suited us perfectly. The cottage is located near the small village of Huby and 15 about minutes from Otley. The cottage has a very peaceful countyrside location surrounded by fields and woodland. It was nice to be able to go for walks with the kids right from the doorstep. The cottage is located at the end of a long country lane so there isn't any traffic to worry about.

The cottage is a newly renovated out building of Bogridge farm. The cottage is between another cottage and the farm house but still feels private. Probably not a young people party weekend cottage though. The owners, who have a landscape gardening business, were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage itself is traditional stone built but newly renovated and with all mod cons. The kitchen is very well equiped including washing machine, dishwasher and all the pots, pans, plates, cutlery and odds and ends one needs. The lounge had cable tv/dvd player, selection books and board games. The bathrooms were also newly renovated with both shower and bath. Everything was spotless. Overall great cottage, convenient for Leeds/Harrogate but at the same time a very countryside location, very well equipped, clean, and with friendly and helpful owners.
