This is the second time we have stayed this year.Wonderful dinner good price and freshly cooked and a really good breakfast menu. All food sourced locally and of really good quality. Owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. Its not far from Harrogate though seems a bit out of the way in a very quiet village. Check in is unusual because sometimes the pub is not always open through the day but owner lives next door and is always available. Its worth searching out.

Room Tip: some rooms more modern than others.

We stayed for just one night while at the Harrogate Flower Show. Lovely, friendly and welcoming Inn and staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the evening meal excellent. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

Before writing a review, I have to mention that in the free car park, with ample parking, it contains not one, but two chargers for electric cars. For this to be provided in a rural hotel setting in the Dales is almost unheard of. As electric cars are the way forward, this is a real bonus.

The hotel/pub is really good value. It has an outside area that catches the summer sun till late in the day. Louise is a very friendly and helpful host. Dinner ok, but basically pub food. Breakfast very nice. Thanks to Louise's daughter who acted as waitress! Was given a room that had an en-suite bathroom and also a fully fitted kitchen which was a bonus if you wanted to make your own meals.

Location was lovely and quiet. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I stayed here with my husband & son for 5 nights at the beginning of May. My Dad was having a big family dinner for his 70th birthday.
Louise was such a warm, wonderful, approachable & accommodating host - nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were lovely & clean, the beds super comfy, lots of hot water.
The food was reasonably priced, big portions & absolutely delicious.
We couldn't fault anything with our stay here & as my son wrote in the book "we didn't want to leave".

We were attending a wedding reception nearby and wanted to stay close by. So checked out options on line and found the Queens Head Inn - we read the reviews and were not disappointed - everything was spot on and as described on line. It is a gem of a place which is lovingly looked after. We had the Elizabeth II room which was nicely decorated and immaculately clean with all the amenities you could need - great big bed, flat screen TV, well appointed bathroom with big bath and loads of hot water plus all toiletries available. Also plentiful supply and great choice of tea/coffee/hot chocolate drinks in the room. Plus of course a fast WiFi connection. The room was at the front of the Inn with a good view over fields. Everyone we met was so welcoming we felt very comfortable there. The food was AMAZING and can honestly say it is worth staying just to have the steak and ale pie - it was delicious - and the Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The rooms have been named after Queens, so Elisabeth I Elisabeth II and Mary etc., so that was a nice touch. Would absolutely recommend the Queens Head Inn as a great place to stay and would like to say thank you to the hosts for a memorable stay.

Room Tip: Queen Elizabeth II room (first floor) overlooked the front of the Inn and a small road but had lovel...
