Staff were wonderfully friendly and looked after us. Hotel was clean and tidy. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Had a fantastic stay! It was very warm but better than being too cold. We had 3x complimentary drinks each. There were parties going on in other parts of the hotel but we couldn't hear then on our room. We booked an evening meal and the service was superb.

Planned an overnight stay. Short break to spend time together. Hotel was clean, comfy bed and everything you need.
Had a meal in the restaurant and was served by extremely helpful staff. Food was delicious.
Hotel is located perfectly for shopping trips and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
Would recommend.

A lovely building and interior with good staffing and an excellent breakfast... managed to get an top online deal on a suite which meant loads of space and a jacuzzi!

Parking is on site too which means overall this is a great place for a business stopover; including that its opposite the train station so public transport access is also spot on and it’s only a 10 minute walk from the city centre.

Friendly staff, good Hallmark hotel, but having booked with Hotels.com our booking was stated for a double bed, for which we were told the would be an upgrade from our ‘city double’ which means slightly larger single. Hallmark need to sort this with Hotels.com as the staff were friendly and tried to resist, but ultimately the room we booked clearly stated ‘double bed’.

I stayed at the Derby hallmark hotel and it's a delightful building with a big welcome. The breakfast waitresses were particularly hospitable, the room and bed comfortable, the WiFi works, the car park secure. I understand that it's the oldest railway hotel in England. Marvellous indeed
