Treated my brother and his wife to lunch. My first time at The Harrington Arms - it certainly won't be the last! Very quaint pub with several rooms to eat / drink in. Plenty to choose from on the menu for starters, main course and desserts. The pies are exceptionally good; full of very tender meat and tasty gravy. The accompanying vegetables were well cooked and delicious. Portion sizes are on the generous side. If you're going for 3 courses make sure you only have a light breakfast. Service was slightly slow, however, they were very busy and we weren't in any rush so it didn't matter. Will be going back soon and I highly recommend this pub / restaurant. I believe the owners have a shop where you can buy many of the items on the menu, for example, their pies.

Had to be in Derby one Sunday recently and as we don't know Derby at all we obviously searched in TripAdvisor for somewhere to eat Sunday lunch. So pleased that we choose this place! Phoned at 10.30 in the morning and got the last table spare at 3.45! Busy or what!

Everything was great! Warm welcome from our young server, Ted. Food came quickly despite the masses of customers around us in what seemed like a packed restaurant. Disappointed to find out that the chicken had run out but the rest of the menu was available and as it turned out, excellent. So much of it and very tasty with it. Varied veg, lovely Yorkshire and great meat and fish. Well pleased. Also started off with a prawn cocktail - good and a chocolate pudding with custard to finish, also good. Everything was plentiful and hot, brought to our table speedily by said server, Ted, a very pleasant and friendly young man. He is to be praised for still being on top of his game despite coming to the end of a long and obviously tiring service that Sunday.

Just £14.95 for two courses each. Very good value and somewhere we'll no doubt return to some day, maybe midweek so we can sample the rest of their fare!

Again we visited this pud for midday lunch and were very satisfied with what we had. At £9.95 for a quality freshly prepared two course meal, very good value. If you want another course it’s £2 extra. This special lunch menu has about six choices and we all enjoyed our meals. The sherry trifle is really we’re worth trying, the best I have had.The staff were friendly helpful and obliging. There is s large car park at the rear of the pub so there is no parking problem. This pub is well worth a visit and will take some beating for quality and price.

There was too much of it, but it tasted so good we asked the staff to doggy bag it for us! No wonder this place is so popular

This a great situated country pub near Elvaston castle.

Service fast and efficient...

Bar VERY busy so at peak be prepared to wait for service.

Book ahead is a good plan.

Sunday menu is various roasts and a fish dish and a veg option....

Roast Beef excellent... others were ok rather than great (pork especially not best quality meat) ...

Plenty of veg on the side and yorkshires.... all very good.

Deserts .. sherry triffle with about a glass of sherry each helping was excellent.... the bread and butter pudding also very well received!

Car park is adequate and outdoor seating on a bright day is just great....

Its not the most picturesque beer garden (next to the car park) but as I looked round.. lots of regulars and everyone seemed happy.... good signs!

Excellent value... 5 adults all had three course and couple round of drinks.... and less than 130 quid....25 ish per head for three course and drinks.... thats good!
